The estimator Sal came over, we stood in the house before going out to measure the fence.
I instructed him I recently had a survey, and I owned the fence, about a foot onto the property, and I instructed him it should be built entirely from my side and not go on the neighbors property. He began to rant in a loud voice he didnt want trouble with the neighbor, I said how could you, you are not going on their property. I have a right to pull down my fence and build a fence on my property. He ranted and raved that it couldn’t be, and I showed him the door. Just now I had a call from the owner, who asked me to remove the review, I said no because it is the truth, then he said I am starting to realize which one is the nut you or the neighbor, and I think it is you.
can you imagine he is talking to a customer like that, and he wants business?

What a GREAT company! Kavin Fence came out to review a half-​built gate done by another company. We were willing to start over, but Sal, the sales manager, did not try to sell us something we didn’t need and instead provided advice on how to move forward with the existing builder. No charge. And even offered to come back and review the work when it was done. Again, no charge. What a wonderful, kind, professional and honest company! Would hire them in a heartbeat! I work closely with Kavin Fence on various projects. Their location is ideal for work in West LA and they have many different skills — small chainlink for pools, hillside work, taller fence work for sports, fences that require fabric screens for privacy, and gates. A good company and part of a larger construction firm if the project has more than a fence.

Redwood fence put in by Kavin yesterday and day before. It looks great and was exactly to our specifications. We will be staining the fence in about 3 weeks, giving the redwood a chance to «breathe» first. A very nice crew and manager, Iggy. We had some specific requirements which were honored. We couldn’t be more pleased.

Seems like a good company. However, they are afraid of certain neighborhoods. Some reviewers may like that. Others may not. I called and inquired about getting an estimate. They asked for my zip code before asking anything else. I gave it to them (a zip code in Los Angeles), and was told that they do not service that area. The company is based in Culver City. Their website says that it «proudly serves Los Angeles, West Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Brentwood, Malibu, Marina Del Rey, Pacific Palisades, Culver City, Los Feliz, West Hollywood, Westwood, Playa del Rey, Topanga, and Malibu.» They proudly service homes in Malibu almost 30 miles away, but won’t service my house which is approximately 1.8 miles from Culver City city limits and 2.7 miles from their office.
I’ll let you all decide what all this means.

They built a horizontal redwood fence along my front yard property line. Price was reasonable, they matched a cheaper quote I got from a different contractor. They did great work really fast. Overall I would recommend.

We contacted many fence contractors and received many proposals and estimates. Kavin was great to work with. Great communication and a positive experience altogether. They did an amazing job! Top quality work and they also did it in great time. Cleaned up completely after the job. I would highly recommend Kavin to anyone who is the market for a great looking new fence :)

We used Kavin Fence a couple years ago and were really impressed. So they were the first we called when we wanted to do some repair/​remodeling work on our home. I called over a week in advance to schedule an appointment to look at our home because we only live there part time and are away most of the time. I explained our situation of not being around very much when I set the appointment. A half hour after the time of the appointment I got a text message from Jeff, the appraiser, saying he was running late. I instantly replied that we could wait, and that rescheduling wouldn’t work for us because we were leaving town the next day. No reply. He never showed up, or called. I’ve called the business and Jeff directly 3 – 4 times since then, no reply. It’s almost a week later. After their work on my fence I was singing their praises, today I’m warning everyone to stay away.
