Dr Loftin and staff are professional and personable, making you feel comfortable when you visit and trusting of their work. They don’t cut corners and want what’s best for you, your wallet, and your teeth. I highly recommend their service!

I have never been treated this well by a dental office, and I’ve had some pretty darn good dentists. The entire office was so helpful, and Dr. Loftin was phenomenal. They all know what they’re doing, and they helped educate me about proper dental care and treatment options. Jamie was so sweet and very informed while cleaning my teeth, and Rhonda was FANTASTIC when explaining treatment options. She took the time to go over all of my questions, and didn’t make me feel like she was trying to rush me out.
From fantastic dental care and state of the art equipment, to excellent customer service, to a clean and friendly atmosphere, this place will exceed your expectations. I can’t say enough good things about this great office. What a lovely group of professionals!
UPDATE: I had originally left this glowing review and gave five stars. But then this happened:
During my cleaning appointment, I was given a print-​out and I was quoted prices for all the recommended work (eight minor fillings). After carefully weighing my options, I decided to get all the work done (considering the cavities weren’t bad, I could have gotten some or all of the work done later). Dr. Loftin’s office had all my insurance information and told me with confidence exactly how much Delta would pay and how much I would pay. I paid in full up front at my filling appointment and figured that was that.
Imagine my surprise when I got a bill in the mail! The work was more than DOUBLE the price they quoted! The ol’ bait-​and-​switch! I called to find out what happened, and they explained that whenever they quote prices, they just GUESS what coverage a patient has without checking. According to them, they assume everyone who has Delta has the same «standard» fee schedule, so they just use that to quote prices, assuming every Delta plan is the same. I asked why, since they have my insurance information, they wouldn’t just check what my insurance would cover, and they claimed Delta won’t disclose patient fee schedules. Which I absolutely don’t understand, since every other dentist I’ve ever been to is able to communicate with my insurance providers and quote an accurate price down to the penny. I can’t imagine any reason they would just quote «standard» prices without checking with my insurance company, other than to get me to agree to more work that can actually wait in order for them to make more money. I even talked with some colleagues who all have the same dental plan as me, and they all said their dentists quote them exact prices and call our insurance company to verify before the work is even done. I’m so confused as to why this office is unable to do that.
I was pretty bummed, considering how great I thought they were. And my experience with the ugly billing side of things doesn’t change how wonderfully I was treated there. I might even go back, but I will be wary if they recommend work, as they’ve lost my trust. I’m not sure I can trust that I will actually need the work they recommend, and I KNOW I can’t trust their quotes!
All in all, the whole thing just feels a little shady. I urge people to verify this office’s quotes with their dental insurance providers before agreeing to any work so they don’t end up paying double, like me!
To sum up: Really good at dental work, but lacking when it comes to the billing/​finances side of things. I hope this review has been helpful for someone. :)

These guys are absolutely great! I was having some trouble with a botched filling from a prior dentist and they fit me in within an hour of calling them! The staff is keen to engage you in conversation so that you keep your mind off having your head drilled into. I would recommend this office to anyone.

After many years with another dentist whose office location had become less convenient to me, I made the ‘big decision’ (you know how resistant we all can be to leave a health care provider with whom we have a long history) in changing to look for a more local dentist. I found Dr. Loftin through his wife Zulay whom I met at a networking event and figured that if Dr. Loftin was close to as nice and professional as Zulay, I would give him a try. Dr. Loftin was really personable, positive, and engaging… even fun. So I scheduled a full exam including x-​rays and cleaning. Every person on the Loftin Dental office staff was friendly and professional, from the scheduling of the appointment and during the new patient exam.
This dental office has a very strong team of care providers all of whom were very attentive, made my visit comfortable and relaxed, and started and finished on-​time.
The exam was thorough, and Dr. Loftin was very informative, personable, and gentle.
My experience was terrific and I give Loftin Dental my highest recommendation.

Dr. Loftin and his staff are #1 in our book! Our 8 and 10 year olds always get so excited to go to the Dentist. How many parents can say that! I must also mention the kids are cavity free!!! You Guys Rock

I am extremely nervous about being at the dentist. When you walk through Dr. Loftin,‘s door you are greeted by friendly staff. They go out of their way to make you comfortable.
Dr. Loftin ‘s hygienist was able to keep me occupied by talking to me. We spike about the beautiful pictures on her ceiling.

GREAT all around! An honest, professional, comforting dentist office. So refreshing! After faithfully going every 6 months to the same dentist for several years in SF I no longer worked in the city and really needed to relocate closer to home. The 1^st dentist I went to somehow discovered I needed $ 3500 in dental work!!! What??? How could that be when my longtime dentist didn’t think I needed it? I think money was needed to pay for fancy, new offices. Anyway, I was referred by friends to Dr. Loftin and COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!! I will be a longtime patient and plan on spreading the word :)

Dr. Loftin and his staff are absolutely incredible. Who knew going to the dentist could be so much fun! You’re definitely treated like you’re family here– it’s such a great feeling to go into a business and be welcomed by name. My husband and I have been going to Dr. Loftin for the past two years and couldn’t be happier with the treatment that we have received. Dr. Loftin really listens to your concerns — I’ve never once felt like I was rushed. Everyone on staff has a warm and welcoming personality!

Dr Loftlin and his staff are really wonderful people, If your looking for an amazing dentist and a comfortable place to be this is it! We have been going here for a couple years now and he has bent over backwards to help us out with each tooth crisis we encounter. We are very appreciative to the warm stuff and him. My crown broke off one night so Dr. Loftin’s office managed to squeeze me in right away to get the problem resolved. The entire staff was wonderful and accommodating, from the front desk to the dental assistant and finally to Dr. Loftin himself, who’s got such a personality and high rate of professionalism. I can’t ask for a better dentist! I’m very pleased that Dr. Martin brought him in as he eases into retirement. I bet a lot of us patients couldn’t be happier he selected the best possible candidate to lead the dental practice. Thanks a bunch, Dr. Loftin and co.
UPDATE (update posted on 4÷25÷15): So I’m modifying my rating of Dr. Loftin to 3 stars. Essentially he gets 5 stars for the quality of his work but 1 star on how the office is run. Here’s my story:
When I went to see Dr. Loftin last December, I was shocked when they demanded payment for out of pocket costs on my filling. This was done WITHOUT them billing my insurance first, which I consider to be very unorthodox. For my second filling, they once more requested payment without contacting my carrier and the amount was of course the estimated out of pocket balance. The problem with this second filling was their request was thirty dollars more than what I actually had to pay (that’s why I’m glad I requested they bill me). Furthermore, their billing people put my mother and I on the same bill despite the fact we have separate insurance companies. I actually saw the list of services she received (and vice versa), which is a blatant violation of HIPPA privacy guidelines. I submitted a letter with complaints on this, as I don’t believe it’s appropriate to demand immediate payment for unreimbursed medical expenditures, especially when they hadn’t even contacted my insurance company for payment. The people requesting payments at the front were also doing such in a harassment like tone.
So at a recent appointment to get a custom made mouth guard, Dr. Loftin addressed my concerns and sadly insulted my intelligence rather than behave like a professional. First, he claimed that Dr. Martin implemented this policy of requesting immediate payments for out of pocket costs without contacting insurance (funny how, in the 20 years we were Dr. Martin’s patients, as in my mother and I, we never were asked to pay anything just literally seconds after getting out of the chair) but «never really followed it», i.e. implying he did on a few occasions over the years (but somehow he didn’t do that to us… riiiiiiiiiiiiight. For a two year span, my twin brother and I CONSTANTLY were at his office due to work on our braces. During that period, not once did Dr. Martin or his staff even utter «please pay this amount before you leave». Everything monetary wise was handled via mailed statements). He also claimed that, due to expensive overhead, they needed money right away rather than spend it on mailing out statements. I had no idea that mailings were that exorbitant (hint: they’re not). The entire time he made these claims, he not once looked me in the face, i.e. an indication that he’s lying (not that I ever believed him in the first place) and provided a public relations-​esque apology. He also claimed that, if we wanted special arrangements made (such as to have statements mailed), they would do it. That should have been mentioned right away when he officially took over the practice upon Dr. Martin’s complete retirement last August. I also looked at his billing policies… he charges $ 100 (instead of a typical figure, like $ 35) for broken appointments and they must be confirmed 48 hours beforehand rather than the typical 24 hours (a lot can happen in two days prior to a visit). It’s clear he’s all too concerned about the almighty dollar and I’m skeptical on if he’s informed his patients about this policy.
Dr. Loftin would have done much better had his apology been meaningful rather than nonchalant. It didn’t assist him that he also treated me like a fool who would believe this malarkey on why he has such an inane billing method.
After 20 years as a patient with both him and Dr. Martin, I’m switching. In my opinion, it takes a lot for a patient to depart a medical provider after two decades. These errors on his and his staff’s part (more so just the billing personnel. He has fabulous RDAs, hygienists and his secretary, Lisa, is remarkable) aren’t minute ones in my opinion but rather humongous. It’s not a decision I made lightly, especially as Dr. Loftin is still in the end a great dentist. However, the office mechanisms, combined with his clear money hungry disposition, just are not something I want to have to deal with from this point onward.

I just had two crowns fitted by Dr. Todd Loftin, assisted by JUDY who was excellent I might add and I must say I had the best experience. Judy worked with me on the temporaries and I appreciated her excellent work. Dr. Loftin is wonderful with a great sense of humor and a reassuring sense that all will be well and it is.
I would highly recommend this dental office for all my dental needs. They are highly professional and highly skilled.

We were pleased that Dr Martin brought in Dr Loftin to join the practice. Our family has gone here for years, and look forward to continuing with Dr Loftin, who is experienced, personable and makes the time ‘in the chair’ as pleasant as possible.

Best Dentist Ever! Dr. Loftin is great! I just can’t say enough good things about him! He is not only an extremely nice guy, but is clearly incredibly talent at what he does. I love that he explains what he is doing so you understand what going on in your own mouth and I didn’t once say «ouch». Dr. Loftin is the kind of dentist that makes you comfortable and not afraid to come back. The entire staff creates this same feeling. From the time I made my appointment with Sharon, who was super nice and accommodating, fitting me in based on my needs, to the wonderful assistant and hygienist, who made my teeth cleaner than they’ve ever been. This whole team is talented, sweet, and professional and good a making you feel comfortable. I have to go to a dentist and I’m super happy it’s Dr. Loftin and his staff. Thanks! You guys rock!
