Established in 1978.

When and how Swift began

It all started when a man named Andy started Andy’s Refrigeration in 1978. After being in business a few months and more work than he could handle on his own Andy hired his 1^st employee Rick Dickerson to help complete customers needed repairs. Rick was attending night school at the time to complete additional training for refrigeration, air conditioning and electrical.

After approximately 2 years Rick completed his extended training and was promoted to service technician while still preforming and helping with installations.

Well after what seemed to be a fast 18 years it was time for Andy to retire and sell his business, so what better person could there possible be other than his 1^st and loyal long term employee Rick D.

After what seemed to be another fast 6 years Rick changed the name to Swift Certified Mechanical (growth reasons) and to this day Rick still operates and manages his team at Swift Certified Mechanical as well as preforms hands on work.

Rick Dickerson started with the company’s founder Andy back in 1978 as the 1^st employee while completing his advanced education at Diablo Valley Collage through a night school program.

Studied courses were refrigeration, air conditioning and electrical circuitry, after 2 years and completing his advanced training at DVC Rick was promoted to technician while still helping with installations.

Rick (the company manager) has always had a life long desire to figure out how things operate and why they stopped working and what can be done to make the needed repairs to make it work again, providing it is cost effective to fix /​repair.

Rick has always relied on honest business practices as well as his team of trained employees with good and honest business practices towards there customers to keep Swift Certified Mechanical going after all 26 years of service even in these difficult times.
