Walk the Dog raises the barcode in pet care. We’ve pioneered new standards of accountability and client confidence by creating Pet Check Technology™.

Pet Check Technology™ is a proprietary system that provides all parties with real-​time certainty that your dog is being taken care of. We do this by using mobile barcode technology, email alerts, GPS tracking, and online tools for accuracy and convenience.

You’ll be able to track GPS coordinates of your dog’s walk, as well as manage your dog-​walking schedule through the secure Walk the Dog management page online. Opt-​in to automated reporting of arrival and departure times via email, so you can see exactly when your dog was walked.

Established in 2003.

Walk the Dog makes it our mission to provide your dog with daily dog walks or vacation care that’s right for them. It is this type of unique thinking that provided Doug Simon with inspiration to start Walk the Dog in 2003. Doug and his two German Sheppards, Hazel and Morty, were dog walking clients for over nine years before Doug created Walk the Dog. What Hazel and Morty were missing from their dog walking experience was someone who took the time to truly understand their needs.

Hazel and Morty have since entered doggie heaven but the legacy of personalized one-​on-​one pet care they helped to create lives on everyday at Walk the Dog. When you sign up with Walk the Dog we will gather information from you and watch your dog’s performance on the walks to create a comfortable environment. It is our belief that every dog has their own comfort zone.

Doug Simon and his two German Sheppards, Hazel and Morty, were dog-​walking clients for over nine years before Doug founded Walk the Dog in 2003. What Hazel and Morty were missing from their dog walking experience was someone who took the time to truly understand their needs.
