We have a lifelong passion for working with dogs, cats, fish, birds, or any other animal in need of special attention. We pride ourselves on tailoring our pet care to fit your loved one’s unique needs. Your pet will meet with the same walker on every occasion for a solo walk. We also offer grooming, medication services, running options, personalized home boarding, house sitting, and pet taxi services.

History

Established in 2003.

I am a retired high school teacher who founded 3rd Coast in 2003. We originally offered in-​home bicycle services, and then added pet care to keep us busy in the cycling off-​season. As a busy dad, animal lover, and teacher I became more interested in serving busy professionals who felt overwhelmed by their busy schedules and who needed a little help in caring for their pets. Our modern work schedules have evolved into longer days, with many of these responsibilities following us home. Our pet lives and our personal lives suffer the heaviest casualties. 3rd Coast offers affordable solutions.

I started walking dogs and caring for pets in hopes of giving busy people higher quality free time with their loved ones, instead of racing down life’s meaningless errands at the end of the day. We strive to create peace of mind through professional, friendly, fast service at the touch of a button. 3rd Coast saves you time… Consider it done!

I am a retired high school teacher, a life long pet owner and animal lover. I decided to start 3rd Coast Petcare after I retired so that I could continue doing what I love every day. My two children love to work with me when they are not in school. Together, we have owned several dogs, cats, fish, turtles, a snake, a skink, birds, etc. Pet care is something that we love to do together and we take great pride in. We treat each client pet as our own.

3rd Coast Petcare has been an incredible service for my puppy Daisy. Marc is friendly and reliable, and has become a very instrumental part of Daisy’s routine. I called Marc two days after getting Daisy and he was walking her the next. This flexibility is one of the best aspects of 3rd Coast Petcare, and I can’t imagine having a puppy without their help. They make it possible to balance a busy life with the needs of your puppy, making sure they’re getting the attention and care they deserve while you’re at work. Can’t recommend them more!

I HAD to leave town for a few days and I phoned Marc for help. I found him from a cashier I know. My dog was too big and old to bring along, so I met Marc and he was very accommodating to my requests. He went to my home and walked, and fed him for me everyday. (& even cleaned up a few ”accidents”).
I asked him to call me and let me talk to my dog on the phone b/​c I was afraid my dog wouldn’t eat because I wasn’t there. (older dog)
Well, Marc phoned me and even though my dog was eating just fine – he was just very happy to hear my voice –said Marc! (fast tail wagging)
You can’t put a price on peace of mind. I wouldn’t hesitate to call Marc for his help with my dog. I felt so at ease knowing my fur baby was being looked after. I wouldn’t dream of using those ‘Kennels!” (They change the dogs personality). When I got home, my dog came to me licked my face and went back to his corner, like I’d never left. :)
I’m looking forward to my vacation in a few months and I am so relieved that my dog knows and loves Marc now, and I can relax w/​o always worrying about my Fred. (my dog) I am so happy I can count on Marc.

I recently had to go out of town for the weekend and Marc came by and made sure my cat, Leo, was well taken care of. I appreciated the pictures Marc sent to me to make sure Leo was happy. As an added bonus (and completely unexpected) Marc also took the extra time to clean out my small goldfish bowl when he saw how dirty the water was. Again it is nice to have someone who you trust to look after your pets (even when you forget about one of them). Definitely recommend 3rd coast.

My dog Ellie loves Marc and 3rd Coast! Even though I like to be the best dog-​mom I can be, we all have those long and busy days where we need some help. 3rd Coast is great in these situations! I never worry for a second that she is getting the best care and attention possible. Marc is even especially patient with Ellie’s «quirks». :)
