Wag’s mission is to make it much easier to own a dog by providing your dog the care it deserves while giving you the flexibility you deserve. Whether you need a dog walker instantly or on a recurring basis Wag has you covered. You can track your dog’s walks LIVE on our GPS map, and every time a walk is complete you will receive a report card featuring a photo or video from the walk, distance walked, duration of the walk, and even whether your dog peed or pooped!

Wag is a community of neighborhood certified dog lovers who have signed up to walk your dog. All of our walkers are rigorously screened/​vetted, Wag! certified, insured and bonded.

Unlike other services you get to choose your own walker. Use the app to browse the profiles of all the walkers in your area, which include videos, reviews from other clients, bio, and certifications. Walkers can be booked on a recurring basis or on-​demand as needed. You have full control of your walk schedule.

We also offer a complimentary «Meet & Greet» with the walker before you make the decision to book. The walker will come to your home to meet you and your pup and discuss any questions you may have.

Wag also provides free lock boxes to securely store your key so your walker can safely gain access to your home.

History

Established in 2014.

Wag! co-​founder and CEO Joshua Viner missed his childhood pet, a Shetland Sheepdog named Brittany. Given his busy schedule as a tech entrepreneur in LA, Joshua was worried about committing to a dog of his own and his family and friends convinced him that it wouldn’t be fair. The more he thought about it, though, the more passionate he became about making dog ownership easier for busy people like him.

Using his background in building consumer tech companies and scaling them to millions of users, Josh founded Wag! with the mission to make it easier to own a dog. Wag’s goal is to be your dog’s button on your phone.

Josh connected with Jason Meltzer, Wag!‘s co-​founder and Chief Dog Officer, and the founder of Surfdog LA, one of Los Angeles’ best loved dog walking services. And the rest is. .. Wag!

Wag has launched their walking service in LA and San Francisco, with other major cities to follow.
