History

Established in 1987.

Midway Moving began as a one-truck operation but has grown into the largest and most trusted moving company in Illinois, with more than 300 employees, 200 trucks and more than 16,000 moves every year. Jerry Siegel founded Midway because he thought Chicagoans deserved a reliable, dependable moving service with knowledgeable, well-trained movers. As Midway has grown, it has remained committed to customer service and to giving back the community — Midway donates a portion of every move to local charities.

Jerry S.

Business Owner

A pioneer in the moving industry, Jerry Siegel’s business philosophy centers on employee training and giving back to the community. In 2006, Midway Moving and Storage opened a state-of-the-art training center designed to serve both missions. Partially funded by the City of Chicago, the facility has created permanent jobs and provides comprehensive job training to hundreds of Chicago residents.
