DMS moving service is a 5 star establishment in every aspect. They moved me today.
Booking was easy, they called me to confirm the night before my moving. They were on time, took extra care on fragile items, finished this moving so fast, and charged very reasonable rates compared to its competitors. The crew was extremely friendly and professional. My next moving will be done by them for sure.

DMS provided professional and fast service for my move over the summer. The guys were running a little behind but, called to let me know. I was impressed by their ability to safely move items and pack them on the truck making the very most of the cargo space. This allowed them to move my 2 bedroom apartment in one trip! Nice guys. I was allowed to inspect my items before departure as they are insured. There were no problems. I will definitely call them for my next move.

The guys were on time, efficient, friendly and fast. Very affordable and took good care of my belongings.

DMS moving service did an amazing job moving my belongings from my one bedroom apartment across the city. When I called various moving places in the middle of July, everyone said they were booked for an August 1 move and wanted an extremely detailed account of all of my belongings before they would even consider the move. DMS listened to the type of move I needed, made time for me within their packed schedule, AND held my belongings overnight from July 31 to August 1. They were extremely punctual and called to confirm the appointment time as well as to update me on their status before they arrived. They were overwhelmingly accommodating with the times I needed based on the times I had an elevator reserved and based on my schedule. They worked very closely with me throughout the whole process and always promptly answered if I called with questions.
During the move, the men were kind, courteous, and professional. They moved my belongings while taking very good care of them. I was very impressed by how smoothly the move went and how reasonable their price was. I will continue to recommend them to others and will use them again!

I had a great experience with DMS movers. I was moving at the end of July and I could not find movers I had moved with previously — so I took a chance on DMS based on the Unilocal reviews. I couldn’t be happier. They were on time, professional, and quick. Absolutely no complaints. And above all they were reasonable.
I had 2 guys, both of whom were great, and they moved me out and in in under 2 hours.
Will use them again.

These guys are the best. I literally called 20 other moving companies and everyone was fully booked for the 1^st of the month (waited too long I guess.) but Lee was able to accommodate me at my requested time. His quote was also reasonable compared to everyone else as well! The movers showed up early, were polite, thorough, and handled my belongings carefully and efficiently. I also love that Lee speaks to each customer on the phone after the move to make sure I was completely satisfied. I would recommend them to anyone!

Moving is always stressful but working with Lee and the rest of his crew it made the experience so much easier. They are quick and reasonably prices. I’m going to recommend them to everyone I know and will definitely use them again!

Amazing service, they were very careful with all of my things and were extremely fast. They even drove the truck that I rented myself. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a move especially because the cost was so reasonable. I needed them for two days and they offered a 50% discount on a second day. They allowed credit card payment without a surcharge. Great experience.

I needed movers for a 2br 2ba apartment to move me from Lakeview to the west loop. I also had to move out by the end of the month but couldn’t move in until the second day of May, so I needed to keep my things in a uhaul for two days. Mr Lee was very accommodating and he was able to arrange to have the truck loaded on a Thursday and unloaded on a Saturday. The two movers arrived on time as promised and were very careful with my belongings. The price was very reasonable since I had to supply the truck/​gas. I would hire them again. I supplied the moving truck, moving blankets, and a dolly. They brought a wooden piano dolly, tape, and plastic cling wrap.

I have to honestly say I wanted to like this moving company because some of the workers and the owner, Lee are good people. But there are some of the workers that are rude, unprofessional, and spiteful.
After they were late getting there, they move me out so slow, I got charged a late fee. As well as everything that they ‘put back together’ broke. There was also damaged and broken pieces of furniture/​lamps
I am giving them the three stars because the Coordinator, Lee and the two movers (not the packer) were very helpful and really nice people

I had an excellent experience with these guys. I just moved to Chicago two days ago, and I don’t know anyone or how anything works here.
I called them early in the morning on Wednesday (around 8:00am), and I had Lee from the office call me right back with a flat-​rate quote of $ 199 for two movers for 3 hours, and they could do it the same day. I was overjoyed. I had called three others businesses prior, and they were booked solid until the following week.
They arrived on time. I had two great gentlemen unload my 10′ foot moving truck and bring it up a second floor walk-​up. They were fast and careful, and couldn’t have been more polite. The price was very fair, and best of all, I got it done the same day – which was my biggest urgency.
I would recommend this business to anyone. They are good guys who do great work and the price and service was great.

These guys are incredible. First of all, I called on a Sunday afternoon asking for movers for Monday night. They said it would not be a problem. On Monday I was closing on a condo so the time I needed them could fluctuate. They said it would not be a problem. They showed up early, worked their asses off, and moved everything. At $ ¹⁹⁹⁄₃ hours, and their hard work, there is no better deal in town. We had Brian and Larry as our movers… they are super humans. I recommend them, and Lee, the owner, seems awesome from our phone convetsations. Get these guys!

With pricing too good to be true and a team that worked thoroughly and carefully with all of our belongings, I have to say this team has to be Chicago’s best kept secret. Our move from River North to Arlington Heights was hands down my best moving experience ever. I’ve had movers break our things. These guys handle your property as if it was their own. Every wood item in our home was carefully wrapped in blankets by the team and our non-​wood furniture was wrapped expertly with no hidden cost.
The crew was incredibly friendly and efficient. There were even multiple status check-​in calls from management to both the crew chief and myself. I’ve never known a company to take so much care to ensure satisfaction and efficiency.
DMS Moving is truly a must if you are moving and want the best value in the area and high quality professionalism during your move. Thank you so much to Lee, Jimmie, Kevin and Darryl. You guys are my first call when we purchase our first home!!!

DISCLAIMER: The owner of the company asked me to write a review. And, I’m sure he asks every client do so. Why? Because he’s a small business, his reputation and referrals are the key to his livelihood, and because he needs the results to market for him.
That being said, I would have written a 5-​star review regardless. Lee helped me out of an immense jam under tight deadline and with many different requests and twists to the move. And he and his crew handled them professionally, cordially, and without any up charge or last minute change.
The story is too long to break out, but I needed a mover with 72 hours notice, one that could arrange to keep property on a moving truck for an additional 48 hours, a start first thing Monday morning, AND help setting up storage since I was out of state.
Lee and his employees handled it all, charging me EXACTLY what they said they would, and with zero complaints from my tenant — who was under intense pressure due to her own delayed move.
If you want to to deal with a big name, go ahead. If you want to feel like a big deal as a client, and get things done properly, at a fair price, and with respect, call Lee.

I had a good experience with this company, especially since my moving itinerary was unique. I was doing more of a furniture exchange between 3 different houses, so it wasn’t the typical pack up everything at one house and just deliver everything to the next one.
I decided at the last minute on a Wednesday to hire movers instead of moving everything myself that upcoming Saturday. I went to there website and filled out a form about what I needed for my move and was contacted within 30 minutes via phone and email. I viewed it as them being thirsty for business, but I realized they just have a lot of competition and people don’t really move during this time of the year. Anyways, I didnt contact them until the next day and they were still available.
The movers they sent arrived on time, were very efficient, and quick. The damage, or the price for the move, was actually less than what was quoted. And they give you this real nice pen that you can use for writing on paper or on an electronic tablet. It has a little flashlight on it too.
I had 3 guys who did a excellent job and I gave them a total of $ 100 for the tip to split between them because they were quick. Thats something I always like because I have things to do other than sitting around waiting for people to move furniture.
