History

Established in 1980.

My name is William Enquist and I first started my business in 1980, in the Holliston, Massachusetts Area. I grew up helping my grandfather and dad wallpapering and painting. After leaving high school I soon developed a good name in the business working on many personal residences, as well as prominent commercial accounts such as Breyers Ice Cream, Pan Am Airlines, And Marriott Hotels to name just a few. Recently I moved here to San Diego, looking to bring my 30+ Years of experience in Painting, Stain, and Wallpaper to provide the same quality to customers here in this beautiful area, where I have always wanted to live!

I was born in New England, and started helping my Dad, and Grandfather, painting and Wallpapering. New England is a great place to learn how to prepare surfaces for Paint, Stain, or Wallpaper… being as all the houses and businesses properties are so Old, therefore needing a lot more prep. After 30+ Years experience I feel comfortable being able to handle whatever any customer could ask of me.

Bill was simply amazing. He came to my house for Mother’s Day of all days to put up some wall paper in the baby nursery. Bill was attentive to detail and execution; he valued my input, but offered thoughtful suggestions which I could not refuse. The wallpaper in the end looks fantastic. I had my neighbors come over to look at the job– they were amazed that they could not find the seems. I would recommend Bill for any future jobs.

I chose Bill and David to paint my kitchen, bathroom and hallway cabinets based on a great price and added value. In addition to painting the cabinets, they installed the knobs and new hinges that I purchased. They also cut in my wall color and painted the ceiling so that I wouldn’t have to worry about messing up the cabinet paint.

We did not know Carlsbad Painting and Wallpaper or Bill prior to finding him on Unilocal.He showed up on time, was organized, neat, and efficient. He did an outstanding job wallpapering our dining room. We could not be more satisfied. He is a seasoned professional. Importantly, his charge was less than ½ the other 2 quotes we received.
It would be a mistake not using him for your project.

Wow, had Carlsbad Paint and Wallpaper put in some challenging wallpaper in our entryway! Very tall and challenging, but Bill Enquist did an awesome job. He’s meticulous as well as fast. We’ll be ordering more paper for some other areas in the house now that we have a reliable installer.

Bill just repainted the first and second story fascia on the front of our house in Carlsbad, so it would look best for an upcoming home sale. We needed the work done quickly on short notice, and he happily and reliably obliged. Bill even threw in repainting the wood frame around the garage door so everything would look equally new. He’s a great guy, talented and really fast, and highly recommended!

Bill Enquist did a great job painting my shutters and front door! It was a small job so I was really glad that I could find such a professional person to take it on. He has been painting for years, and it showed. He even went to my HOA to find out the exact paint color that I needed, bought the paint, and came and painted. He was done very quickly and left everything very clean. I really appreciate his professionalism and his reasonable prices!
