History

Established in 2007.

Beyond Property Management is investor owned. We formulated the most efficient system of management through our own investing experience and decided to offer our services to the public. Through hard work, open communication, and our passion for managing rental property, we have grown our business to over 140 SF homes and condos throughout San Diego County. Having the resources of a large company, yet maintaining a personal one on one relationship with our clients, has attributed much to our success.

I have owned my house in Clairemont for many years. As a business owner myself, I admire how Beyond Property Management handles the day to day management of my investment property. I love the yearly surveys they send to me stating that my house is habitable as well as any upgrades that I can consider in the future (i.e. Termite work). I want to make sure my investment remains an investment. I also have been blessed with great tenants. Beyond Property Management has my vote. I highly recommend them if you are considering going the Property Management route!!!

I could go on and on about the unprofessionalism of this company but, in a nutshell, they’re communication is antagonistic and condescending and tenant maintenance requests are all but ignored for as long as possible. Unless you are desperate, I highly recommend looking elsewhere for a property to rent. If you are a homeowner, beware of this company as their behavior and lack of service prompted a reliable, clean, and responsible tenant to search elsewhere for a home.

From a tenant’s perspective the staff displays ZERO courtesy or hospitality. Legitimate service requests are treated with repugnant disdain. BPM tries to interact via human contact as little as possible, which is probably for the best.
100% of their efforts go into their homeowner clients, they care little to nothing about their tenants (AKA burdens).
Update: reduced my review to one star based on the official management reply, further demonstrating the firm’s unprofessionalism. Assumptions stated are false. A formal request to Unilocal has been made to remove inaccurate information from this company’s response to a legitimate, yet poor review.

Danyel has been managing my property for 2 years now. She is on top of Anything and everything whenever my tenants have issue. I shopped about 10 management companies before going with beyond property management and read all the Unilocal reviews. I would highly recommend having Danyel manage all your properties!

I use Beyond Property Management to manage several of my properties. Thea Sauca is true professional and is on top of collecting rent, handling repairs, and dealing with any tenant issues. BEWARE! I contacted Beyond in response to an rental they had available in Banker’s Hill posting on Craigslist. I contacted them within minutes of the ad appearing, by the way. I spoke to an Yvette and scheduled a viewing of the apartment for the next day at 12 noon. I gave her my cell phone #. I asked her where I was in line as far as applicants. She said if I submit my application online immediately, I’ll be the first one. So, I complied. I called them multiple times and left voicemail messages AND emailed them that I submitted by application.
I showed up at the unit on time for the viewing. They NO SHOWED! I waited at least 30 minutes and while waiting, called and left voicemail messages letting them know I was there for my appointment.
Finally, after about 5 attempts to reach someone, an Yvette answered the phone. She said I must of spoken to the «other Yvette.» All I got was excuses. Turns out my application was not the first.
Here’s is my biggest concern: they have my application with my SS#, address, photocopy of my ID and my income documentation. I requested that ALL MY information be destroyed and removed from their server.
I feel bad for their property owners because I am sure they are not even aware of how poorly they treat people.
I would AVOID renting through this company and I definitely would not recommend property owners to hire these people.

All the positive reviews are from the homeowners. All the poor reviews are from the renters. They treat us renters as if we are nothing and not their clients. What a horrible company. Everything is cheaply repaired and penny pinched. They never respond to our emails or phone calls. Never again with this company. Zero stars for sure.
Update: they actually called us to see if we would give a potential renter a tour so they didn’t have to drive over!!! We continuously said no until it was so annoying we finally said yes. Are you kidding me? In the middle of moving out? Horrible customer service and very disrespectful. Show your own property.
Update: I see the management has stated I am lying. This is completely false! We were asked to show the property to another potential tenant! And I am 100% reviewing the correct company! You have no idea what you are talking about management. This is exactly what I’m talking about with my review. Of course you don’t know me. You don’t know your tenants at all.

Communication with us and the tenant was not adequate. Tenant ended up finding our personal emails and emailing us to describe and explain problems. That was not ok.
The issue that did it for us was when we needed to replace the water heater. My husband and I ended up purchasing it and scheduling it for installation ourselves. In our eyes we were now doing the job of the management company. There were many more issues than this, but that was what pushed us to find another company.
We have a different company, and are much happier with everything.

We have been using the services of Beyond Property Management since 2009, during which time they have found us four (consecutive) tenants. While we manage our condo ourselves, we have found it to very much worth our time and money to have this company find and screen tenants for us. BPM saves us a lot of hassle!
We are happy with their market knowledge, service and response times. We love that so much of the paperwork can be done online.
In using BPM my husband and I ensure that we can spend time concentrating on other aspects of our lives.

I just spoke with Danyel. She refuses to give me my tenants’ rental application stating that she has to protect their privacy. Then, she basically said that she heard I gave her a bad review on the world wide web and doesn’t see why she should work with me. She even threatened to call her attorney and tell on me if she can’t get this review off — maturity and professionalism at it’s finest! I have been getting emails from unhappy customers. I guess they have, too. Cut your losses, people!
Guess what, Danyel? I do not like to give anyone a bad review. This is the first time I’ve ever had to do this. Sometimes your experience is so bad, you feel an obligation to warn others. Don’t take it personal. It’s constructive criticism. And, hopefully, you can improve when you see your business through someone else’s eyes.
