I made the appointment for an oil change easily online. Service was prompt and efficient. They even topped off my coolant and windshield fluids at no cost! Shant (the owner) was very friendly and is wonderful with customer service. I will definitely be returning for my next service.

I’ve brought my car in here a couple times now for tire-​related and non-​tire related issues. The first time, I needed my tires replaced – they found a good deal for me and had my car ready the same day. The next time, my check engine light came on, and they quickly diagnosed and addressed the problem, and my car was ready within 4 hours. Shant, the owner, is so nice and seems committed to helping you find the least expensive option.

My boyfriend and I have both been taking our cars to Verdugo Tire & Auto Repair for over a year now and we have had nothing but positive experiences. I highly recommend this place.
First and foremost, I am extremely impressed with the level of CUSTOMER SERVICE at this small auto repair shop. SHANT (the owner) goes above and beyond, in every way possible, to satisfy his customers. I usually call ahead of time to figure out a good time to bring in my vehicle and Shant does a great job of scheduling me in with relatively short notice. Not only that, but he also gives me realistic time estimates for how long the work will take… which doesn’t happen everywhere. You won’t waste your time waiting around here.
Next, I am always surprised at how FAST he SERVICES the vehicles. Shant makes sure to get your phone number and he calls you in case anything comes up along the way so that you know exactly what is being done to your vehicle and so he can get your input before performing any additional services. NO TRICKS. NO SURPRISES. NO EXTRA CHARGES. He will not scam you like the dealerships.
Shant’s repair shop is full of HONEST, HARD WORKING EMPLOYEES. Shant will provide recommendations if you ask, and he won’t tell you you need additional services unless you truly do need them. He is also very good at explaining exactly what was done and why.
Today I took my car into Shant’s shop for the first time in over 6 months, and he managed to remember my name and other things about me, my boyfriend, and my car. Shant is always very FRIENDLY, easy to talk to and an overall enjoyable person to be around. In the past, Shant has even referred me to reliable colleagues of his that perform services such as registration, etc. His referrals have also been amazing. There is definitely a trend here of honesty and integrity!
Furthermore, I am always impressed by the FAIR PRICES, and today Shant performed 3 maintenance services on my car for under $ 100. You won’t overpay when you bring your car here. Finally, this repair shop even PROVIDES ADDITIONAL HELPFUL AND PLEASANT RESOURCES TO CUSTOMERS, such as advisory notes (which are meant to educate drivers regarding good car maintenance practices — super helpful for me), free oil change punch cards, and nice thank you notes.

Quick, convenient, and professional. I drove into a small lake-​like puddle on the freeway and heard a clicking and grinding sound on the passenger side. I wasn’t sure what to do and stumbled on this place as it was near my hotel. I arrive earlier than expected, but they went to work on my car right away. I was helped by Shant who was very friendly and transparent. He showed me exactly what he was doing and how he was going to fix it. A plastic plate under my car came loose, so he fastened it back on and I was on my way. I wasn’t charged much. I am very happy with everything. If you go, look for Shant.

Shant and his crew of mechanics are amazing. I am so lucky to have found this gem down the street in Burbank. I stumbled upon them for an oil change earlier this year and knew exactly where I was going to go when my 16 year old Corolla started making funny noises. Shant was patient and kind listening to my concerns. He does a thorough job finding the problem and somehow comes out with a lower price than anybody else around. SOOO I drive a 2012 Mini Cooper. Being a young woman, I am not well versed in cars or how exactly to take care of them. My dad tries to help, but he really just tries to remind me to take it in. I have always gone to different places this past year of living in LA, really just spot oil checking & tire air-​ups. This time, however, my dad suggested I go get a diagnostic check up. He also suggested that I take it to the Mini Dealership in North Hollywood, because they would have the foreign parts needed to replace it & would overall know the car better.
So today I took my car over to the mini dealership without an appointment, which I didn’t think was a huge deal. I just wanted a check up! I was rudely told by the employees there that they could maybe get me in «in a few weeks,» and the Unilocal reviews for the dealership expressed similar experiences.
SO I left. I brought my car to the shell station at Hollywood & Verdugo, now the home of Verdugo Tire. I was a little upset after my experience at the Mini Dealership, but Shant immediately turned my day around. I can’t even tell you the incredible service I received. I left my car with Shant, and he called me an hour later with the full rundown of things he thought could use a tune up. He explained each thing he was planning to do as well as pricing and made sure I understood and agreed. In two hours he called me again (he was SO kind during both conversations!) and told me my car was ready.
When I came back to the shop to get my car, Shant showed me each part he replaced. EACH ONE. My old spark plugs, my air filter, my windshield wipers… And explained what he replaced it with, which was the exact same brand as I had had before. Even though it was clear I’m not super educated on mechanics, he took the time to explain why everything he repaired needed to be. The pricing was very fair! He was awesome. He replaced the sticker in the top of my windshield that tells me when to come back with one that is MUCH easier to read. He was so kind and patient and it was really just the best experience ever. I will be coming here from now on. Thank you, Shant!

Very professional, very accommodating and very sweet. The guys helped repair my nailed tire outside in 105 blazing temperatures not once complaining of how hot it was, more concerned if I was comfortable enough. RELIABLE SERVICE! A++++

About a month ago, someone pointed out I had a flat rear tire. I stopped by here just to have it patched and I remember it being a Saturday because they closed around 2. We got there about 1:15– the guy said ½ hour? Absolutely. Walked across the street to Subway to grab a sandwich and by the time I got back, he was just lowering the car. Great work, cheaper prices where I didn’t feel like I was scammed, and very friendly service. He also noted that the conditions for my tires were not so good and to consider getting new ones soon but didn’t hassle me. I’ll certainly consider returning there after my experience.

Either I had a very different experience than previous reviewers or like someone said earlier, some of these reviews are probably manufactured.
Dropped off for front brakes replacement. They quoted me $ 170 and $ 50 as inspection fee if I didn’t want to get the job done. It didn’t make any sense to pay the $ 50 and then get it somewhere else since I didn’t feel like it was worth my time and effort for the cost difference so I went ahead. $ 170 for simply changing the brakes is too much!
In their defense, they were pretty fast in getting the job done. No complaints there. When I went to pick up, I had already bought the Unilocal $ 60 for $ 50 deal coupon listed here. I was told that the coupon was valid only for oil changes. Nowhere does it say that. When I pointed out that, I was told that it was applicable only if my costs were $ 60 :| Like really?! My costs were $ 170. I have bought so many Unilocal coupons over the years and never have I faced problems when my bill was over the voucher amount. It simply is a cash voucher, a gift card. When I didn’t listen to his argument, he finally budged.
I went to this location because it is close to my place and it had good reviews. Will not be going back there.
P.S There’s another review dated 01/​14/​2014 for brake pads. Should have read that before. I am pretty sure I got scammed.

These guys are so AWESOME!!! I came across by there by default while getting gas at their Shell station and my tire pressure light was on, so I stopped in there and I’m so glad I did… Shant and the other guy there was so friendly, attentive, helpful and informative. Prices are reasonable and they are not scammers by any means, which is so refreshing and rare with mechanics (especially being a girl).
I will definitely be taking my car in for future service from now on and would highly recommend it to anyone!

I had a flat tire and Google searched tire places and this place came up. It was less than a mile from my work so I decided to check it out. I called and they didn’t pick up. I was deciding whether to call someone else, but I tried again and this time, they picked-​up. The guy on the phone was really cordial. When I got there, I met Shant, the owner; he was a really cool dude and I felt safe leaving my car there. He took down my phone number and gave me a business card and left.
I came back during my lunch break and even though I was there previously for only about 2 minutes, he recognized me and finished the transaction, which by the way, costed about $ 20 to patch it. The car was all set and done and he even put my spare tire away where it should be underneath the car. A nice touch.
I got in the car and they left a pre-​printed ‘thank you’ note/​flyer; another nice touch. All in all, a great experience, which is tough to find with auto guys. Highly recommended!

So i found this place on Unilocal and The price was awesome for my oil change. I was serviced by Shant he was very personable and friendly. He had my car ready before the quoted time. I’m definitely coming back here for my automotive needs. I’m glad I found this place and highly recommend you check it out.

Best place to take your car for anything.
The other day my car was making strange noises and It was not shifting gears correctly, so I asked a member of the staff for help.
The staff member provided excellent service and in a short period of time my car was ready and fixed.
Their prices are fair and better than the prices my mechanic charged me for the past 2 years.
Verdugo tires & auto repair is better than most mechanic shops so I would highly recommend that you take your car there when it breaks down.

My husband and I live across the street and have been taking both our cars here for over 5 years now. We went there at first because of the convenience and we kept going back because we really trust these guys.
They are thorough and QUICK. Every time I’ve dropped my car off it’s ready in less then 2 hours. They only do what I ask them to do and call me if they find anything else I need.
They are approachable and FRIENDLY. They always remember our names and are very welcoming every time we stop by.
My husband likes to work on his car himself sometimes and they are more then happy to talk to him and give him pointers on how to do stuff. Again, friendly TRUSTWORTHY guys! They are not in it for the buck, they actually like cars. and people.
My dad passed away 2 years ago and he used to do a lot of car stuff for me, it’s really comforting to know that on a rainy day I can pull up for new windshield wiper blades or before a road trip I can pull in to have them check my fluids and tires or some random light comes on and I know I can trust them to get to the bottom of it.
