i had a groupon for 3 oil changes. the first 2 times I was in and out in 30 mins as told when I checked in. Armen didn’t find any repairs that needed to be done. The 3^rd time, he said I needed a serpentine belt and a filter replaced. He ordered the parts and I came back in an hour and he installed them for me. I trusted him because hes not the type of mechanic that tries to nickel and dime you. If he had told me I need parts all 3 times I was there, I’d be a little less trusting. I will go back

If you don’t mind being misquoted and taken for a ride this is your place. Called and asked for a quote on an oil change in a Volkswagen Passat. Not a rare car. To not know how to quote this one out. When it came time to pay, it was $ 80. Not the $ 51 quoted. Also, DID NOT COMPLETE THE JOB. left the oil change light on and when asked about it, the guy said his scanner was not working. Whatever… This place is not a place to do business with.

Rude! Just rude. Went in, waited forever for someone to speak too, and was then just told, no not today in a very stern and rude manner after I just asked if they could do an oil change. They didn’t even look at me when they said it. Took my business somewhere else and wont be coming back here.

I came in with a Groupon, they serviced my car quickly. They told me that I needed new filter which I knew and they were very affordable. I’ll definitely be back. Plus they’re located across the street from Portos, I was able to get lunch while I waited.

Great place to get a smog test and repair, took my 1986 Volvo in for repair after failing twice, Armen quickly diagnosed the problem and provided a reasonably priced fix in a few hours (they were very busy). I also noticed a lot of other mechanics in town taking their cars to Armen for test/​repairs which is also a good sign, high recommend this place.

Popped in again, to see if they worked on electrical things. Armen recommended I get a wiring harness from a dismantler and found one for me. I’m pretty handy so once I found the part, I was able to put it in myself. I’m thankful he pointed me in the right direction. Still a fan!

Discovered Dr. Smog N Lube with a Groupon for an oil change. Kind and courteous staff with quick service. Highly recommended.

Very courteous and professional. It’s a busy busy parking lot, a little tough to navigate in and out of. Definitely a tight squeeze so be ready. I got my smog check in less than 20 minutes.

I purchased an oil change through Groupon and upon arrival was informed that there would be an additional $ 16 fee to get the oil grade that I needed. I purchased the full synthetic oil change, with a $ 82 service value, and they still wanted me pay a ridiculous $ 16 fee, Adding the extra fee, on top of the original groupon purchase value of $ 45, plus tax and the $ 3 hazardous disposal fee, the «deal» would have cost me more that it does to have the service done at Jiffy lube. Plus, Jiffy Lube, which is where I ended up going after refusing the service, gives you free top off on your system fluids, oil. a full inspection, and tire rotations, for less than Dr. Smog N Lube was charging me.
That being said, I refused the service and left to Jiffy Lube and got the oil change with them for less that Dr. Smog N Lube would have charge me, for just the oil change.. .. Needless to say I am not recommending this shop to people I care about.

Really disappointed. Got a groupon for $ 15. Oil change took longer than it should have because they couldn’t get a nut off so they ended up having to pull it off and then they charged us an extra $ 15 for a new bolt when they were the ones who did our last oils change and put the damn thing on to begin with. Our $ 15 groupon oil change ended up costing us $ 30 so essentially no savings.

Third time was the charm. My oil was changed in fifteen minutes. The first time I said «don’t go», They insist on an appointment, and the first time, even though I was on time, they took over one hour to change my oil. I tried to talk to them about it, but Unilocal worked. The third time was efficient.

Note: When I arrived for my appointment there was no one to be found for about an hour. After waiting that amount of time, I still had to wait 30 mins to be serviced. — having an appointment didn’t mean much.
Will not be returning unless have groupon deal.

These guys are great. Initially came here for a Groupon oil change and was given honest estimates on repairs I already knew were needed. They came in less than I had been quoted at other shops. They’re pretty quick, honest, and friendly– even letting me know if a certain repair isn’t necessary at the moment to save me some money for when it’s needed in the future.
I’ll definitely be checking back here for future repairs.

I went here for a oil change and I was so glad I did. The workers were very friendly and showed me only 2 things wrong that needed fixed. I will be back for sure.
I went in expecting to hear so many things like mechanics often do to you especially being a woman. But it was nothing like that. Please if in the area visit this place and you won’t be sorry.

Holly mother of smog ’ n’ lube gods!!! This has to be the best place for everything your car needs. I religiously come for oil change here and send all my family members too. Today, I came in to fix my windshield and ripped out rear view mirror. Having a Mercedes (nothing fancy an older model) I was prepared to sell my kidney for the cost of parts and labor. HOWEVER, to my pleasant surprise Armen (car wisperer) was able to order original parts, install everything and even fixed my mirror with in 24 hour period. I only spent 2 hours at the shop!!! The price was more than competitive comparing to the other guys (no one likes other guys). I AM A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE.

For starters, I found this shop with my location and read the great reviews on Unilocal.I went there for a smog check… Armen provided fast service and he was so friendly! Genuine shop with no bullshit. Will be sending more people your way fellas! Highly recommended.

The equipment at my regular smog check place was down so I came here based off the Unilocal reviews and $ 10 check-​in coupon.
Service was very friendly and quick. I only waited about 20 minutes despite there being a long line of customers. I was very pleased with the service here. I knocked off a star though because they charge about $ 20 more for smog checks than other places.
I would definitely still come back here though if I needed to.

I purchased a groupon for a standard oil change for $ 15. I called to set up an appointment and he let me know I would owe about $ 3.00 more, on top of the groupon so $ 18 total. Such a steal! I showed up at 11 and the mechanic working stopped what he was doing to help me. He let me know I’ll be about 30 minutes. I walked over to Portos to get some coffee and noticed my car was parked and done within 30 minutes, before I was even done with breakfast! When I picked it up he let me know I need new brake pads soon, which was a nice tip, since I don’t know that much about cars. I’ll definitely be back. Great service!
