Borrego Springs Motel

The clean Spartan rooms are warmed by the friendly couple who run this perfect getaway spot. Don’t expect extras, like wifi or TV, but if you want a great, inexpensive desert stay, it’s here. I loved the couple’s sweet dog, Duchess. Everything was clean as a whistle. There’s a toaster oven on the room. The memory foam bed was surprisingly comfortable. I’m definitely returning.

Great place, nice and quiet. The pool is very nice and it’s walking distance to shops and restaurants. I’ve stayed here twice and will definitely stay again!

Great little motel! The owners are very friendly and helpful. The chairs outside our room were perfect for stargazing. (saw a number of shooting stars!) the room is small and basic. No tv. But very comfortable.

We just stayed at this motel and our visit was excellent. Clean, updated rooms. Very pleasant owners who obviously care to make your visit welcoming and nice. Thus is a small, quiet and comfortable motel. Well cared for. Thank you Bonnie and Ken for the excellent service. We will definitely come again and stay longer next time.

After a long day in El Centro I arrived at Borrego Springs Motel and was greeted by cheerful Bonnie and her dobberman, Dutchess. While Dutchess pulled security, Bonnie ensured that my room was clean and good to go. The amenities in my abode were perfect… no tv or phone but a combination toaster oven /​coffee maker! The service here is personable and the rooms are a bargain. If you want a clean, quiet room, and the comfort of knowing that a dobbie is watching over the valuables in your car, look no further. If you want to spend over $ 100, deal with shitty service, and get your stuff jacked, I’m sure there’s a room in El Centro with your name on it.

Found this motel is one of those local tourist guides, drove over to check it out, and really really liked it. It’s just gone through a renovation, so it’s clean and modern, but simple. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch reading in comfortable chairs at night, listening to crickets, and seeing the night sky. Rooms are clean and efficient, nothing fancy, but nice. Will def come back here. Price is also very affordable.

GREAT owners, clean rooms, reasonable prices. Made to feel like a guest in their home. Second year coming here.

The absolute perfect place to stay in Borrego for my friends and me. We’re in our mid-​twenties and were aiming for a fairly economical vacation from the LA/​Orange County area. The owners were able to help us out giving us the door codes ahead of time so we could arrive in the middle of the night. Duchess the dog gave us a great welcome, as did the owners. We even forgot some stuff in the fridge and showed up hours after we had checked out (we were driving around locally), and the owners had held onto our juice and alcohol. Thank you!
Waking up early is so nice, as the desert is dead quiet and so peaceful. I saw some hares/​jackrabbits around the property, and the view from the pool area was pretty neat as well. There are some walking trails around that are fun. If we’re ever in the area, we’ll definitely try to stay here again.

This is a quiet, comfy and thoughtfully-​run motel. The owners obviously take a lot of pride in their establishment.
Furnishings are clean, new, and simple and walls are freshly painted and bright. There’s a good-​sized fridge, a coffemaker, and a mini toaster oven which came in handy. There’s a BBQ and fire-​pit available for sitting out and looking at the stars.
The owners have taken care to thoughtfully attend to details like cushy mats on the floor by the bed, loofas by the shower, very soft, fresh-​smelling towels and sheets, and a small set of tables and chairs both inside and outside for playing board games in the evening or enjoying the morning sun. The owners are a sweet, helpful couple that will tell you about local wildlife or proudly display their bedside tables that were painted by local school-​children. They prepared our room by leaving a heater on for us for our arrival in the cold and offered to ‘leave the lights on’ for us; however this motel is much nicer than any Motel 6!
The rooms have memory foam beds which are new and firm. We were able to walk to town (close but dark-​bring a flashlight in the winter) and several restaurants and shops. This place is a good deal. We had a lovely stay and plan to return.
Also, powered entirely by their own solar panels was a big plus for us.

Nice quiet motel off of the main drag. Clean bright interior with efficient air conditioning. The doberman/​mascot is a sweetheart
