Specialties
Welcome to The Palms at Indian Head. Make yourself at home. The mornings here are longer, more peaceful, more calm. Let the outside world drift away. Here you are encouraged to make this space your own: read beside our enormous pool, stretch, relax, breathe. No phones. No interruptions. Remember what it is like to hear the sound of silence.
The Palms at Indian Head is a classic desert hotel, adjacent to one of the most pristine desert parks in the world, with stunning Milky Way views at night. We have eight rooms facing out over the Olympic-size pool and to the desert valley beyond, two rooms with queen-sized beds and separate living area, and two poolside casitas which have fireplaces and wet-bars.
Weddings, anniversaries, corporate retreats and special events are more magical here. Rent the entire property and host the party of a lifetime, or enjoy an intimate getaway. Quietly secluded away on 20 acres of private property, the possibilities here are endless.
History
Established in 1948.
Our hotel was once a hot spot for movie stars and socialites who wanted to escape the inquisitive eyes of an adoring public. They flew in on private planes and landed on the hotel’s own private runway. Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, Montgomery Clift and others found the freedom here to do as they pleased, with whom they pleased, into the wee hours of the night. Indulge yourself in the fun and excitement of Old Hollywood glamour.

Business Owner
In 1993, we decided to begin restoring the historic property of The Palms at Indian Head. The building was constructed in 1958 in a California modern style with Mondrian influences. The style has now changed to a classic mid-century style. We love our hotel and the beautiful piece of property that it sits upon.
