HORRIBLE!!! I called in for an issue with my car not starting, I knew from the beginning it was my starter that needed to be tapped to start. The tow truck guy did nothing with the starter and tested the battery, even after insisting I knew my car’s battery was okay, I told the guy my battery was checked within the past month. He checked my battery, took him literally 2 mins and I told him don’t do it. He charged me 100.94 dollars just to take 2 mins to check something I didn’t even need checking on. He’s like, «I still need to charge you.» I explained again, «its my starter!.» He said he could not help me with the starter, his response was, «I don’t know anything about that.» Seriously I would highly recommend not using this company.

Called a company called «green towing of rancho san diego» because my keys were locked in my carwss told a driver would call me right back waited 15 mins no call, called back again was told to wait for the driver to call me. no call again. 15 mins later called back again finally they get ahold of the driver who tells me he is 10 mins away, 15 mins later he finally shows up and is from a company called FDZ towing… it takes him literally 2 mins to open the door and then charges me 130 dollars… WTF…being a single mother with 5 kids at home paying this amount broke me but i had to pay. …this company quotes customers one price and then adds on a ridiculous «LABOR» charge, no matter how good you are you are not worth 80 dollars for 2 mins of labor. .this company rips off customers and cops an attitude when confronted about the amount charged… this company lies to the customers and the rips them off. i will never use this place again nor will ever refer it to anybody

Had our minivan towed from where it broke down with my husband driving to our home, where I was. All within San Diego, no more than 10 miles. $ 49 for the hookup, $ 79 for the towin, and an unknown $ 32 charge, plus $ 4.80 CF (whatever the he** that is). Of course, I was doing the paying and by then they had the vehicle hostage. I had no choice but to pay!!! Ripoff artists.

STAY AWAY CON ARTIST AND MAJOR SCAMMERS
I needed my car towed 15 miles. From my apartment to the mechanic. So i went on craigslist, $ 35 hook up fee and 3.50 per mile. not great, but fine whatever. After i rent a trailer and hook it up myself, my time is worth more than doing it myself.
I CALLED TO SCHEDULE A APPOINTMENT. over 24 hours notice. he way an HOUR and FORTY FIVE minutes late. are you freaking joking? if i was late meeting him at my car by 5 minutes he would of left. but i needed it towed. After he shows up almost 2 hours late, not a word, no «Hello im sorry im late» not even a «Hi hows your day» maybe he should of said «Sorry im a jack ass im here to move your car».
So day is already ruined. My car was a mint condition mustang cobra, and i am pretty young and look even younger, so lets say most people are surprised. He didnt ask my name, if it was my car, check registration nothing. kind of weird. I have no idea if that is legal or not, but it was very odd to me.
Step two. My car battery died because i was waiting for him for so long, so i asked him if i could jump it while he hooks it up (i have two cars next to each other) he said «No i have to do it and i have to charge you». I said, «you were 2 hours late», «Oh well, still going to charge you». whatever homeboy, piss off I will do it myself.
Like it said, my car was broken down, i was trying to rebuild it long story short i cant. He starts moving it onto his dirty ass, rusty truck bed while coolant DRIPS like a leaky faucet drip, and he goes, «im going to charge you a clean up fee». HAHAHA!!!
We get going. And magically, his route is 3 miles longer and he is not aloud to go the faster way, he HAS to go the way his phone is telling him, i was using google maps on my phone, it says 15 miles his magically says 18 miles, whatever bro. tow my damn car.

LIARS ** COMPLETE RIP-​OFF!
They quoted $ 49.00 when we called. We just needed a heavy van towed across the street, but it was slightly uphill, and the car was too heavy to push uphill. This company quoted $ 49.00 to tow. They came out, and towed the van 220 feet to across the street. They charged me $ 101.00!!! After telling me over the phone it was only $ 49.00!!! ABSOLUTE & TOTAL LIARS!!! THIS COMPANY WILL LIE TO YOU, THEN RIP YOU OFF!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
ABSOLUTE B. S!!! The owner responded below to Dina I., stating: «FDZ Towing rates for Unilocal are $ 55 hookup & $ 4 per mile». OMG! Such a complete & blatant lie!!! So, my car was not even towed one mile — -only 220 feet!!! So, you should only have charged me $ 59.00, but instead charged $ 101.00!!! This proves they are CHEATS!!! You see it here, folks!!! He quotes $ 59.00, but charged me twice that!!!

THEY DO NOT CHARGE ADVERTISED RATES!!! Let me start off with the driver was fast, responsive, and very courteous. However, they advertise various rates like $ 88 for first six miles or $ 44 hookup or whatever. After an accident, they charge my wife $ 282 for a 6 mile tow which included a $ 199 hookup fee. When I called to ask, they say these rates are not for accidents because insurance will reimburse. I have done business with insurance companies and understand how this works, but regardless, it’s not the rate they advertise and I am out of pocket too much money for a 6 mile tow until my claim is settled. I will withdraw this comment and sing their praises if they make this right.

Wife needs a lock out on Naval station. Calls this company and dispatcher says «no problem, 15 minutes. 15 goes by, 30 goes by, 45 minutes go by, finally my wife walks back to front gate, there’s the tow truck driver. Naval police won’t let h on base because his license is expired??? WTF is that. Then he has the gaul to charge her $ 122 and he did nothing. She got it done her self. He called it a cancelation fee???
STAY AWAY these guys are criminals, drivers are unissued and unlicensed.

These guys are unprofessional and rude. I asked them to tow my car to a body shop. They tried repeatedly to get me to tow to another shop (probably one of their connections). As for their rates, (extremely expensive) definitely not within towing standards, and the so called «management» is awful. They never follow through and seem so disorganized. It amazes me the the Bureau of Automotive Repair even issued a license to this company. They should not be in business and should be fined or sanctioned.

I do NOT get the bad reviews. These dudes GET it. I called them FOUR times from 9am-​8pm to ask diff questions each time and discuss prices and distance for a tow after work. They were friendly, prompt and I have NO clue where this $ 400 biz is. What kind of idiot actually pays $ 400 for a tow without calling BULLSHIT?! These dudes are most def getting saved in my contacts. Find their craigslist ad for an extra discount! Friendly tow truck driver, credit card machine in the truck with a choice of debit or credit, I mean… just great!!! :)

Horrible service. They tell you one price and then charge you triple that. Then if you dont want to pay that extreme price cause they lied they threaten to ruin your car.

Called Green Towing who advertises lowest prices. They sent this guy who charged three times the charge the last tow cost us. Avoid Green Towing and FDZ Towing unless you like to be raped.

I had to get my 71 El Camino towed 20 miles to our new house. I called around for rates… no one could come even close to FERNANDEZ TOWING SERVICE. $ 35 hook up fee, $ 3 per mile… I though there had to be a catch.
My hot rod is my baby & I was petrified to have some jenky guy pull it onto a jenky flatbed… that was NOT the case. The driver was super professional & very nice. After sitting in traffic on Mission Gorge I expected a higher bill too, that was NOT the case.
Bottom line… FERNANDEZ TOWING SERVICE ROCKS!
