Mr. Park altered an off-​the-​rack overcoat for me to ideal specifications, tapering the body, raising the collar and lengthening the sleeves (having to sew in additional material to do so as the sleeves of the overcoat did not leave any allowance for lengthening off the rack). All this took him just five days to complete — less, it’s my impression, if I had requested it sooner. Prices were absolutely reasonable, esp. considering the skills applied to the work.
Mr. Park and his wife are lovely people as well, speaking at length with me about my concerns despite my request being a marginal part of his workload (he saved me from several vital errors in my diagnosis of what needed to be altered). They run a full-​service bespoke workshop in addition to the retail space and from the completed pieces that I’ve seen, the work is comparable to that of top bespoke services in the States. This is to say that they don’t run your standard dry cleaner alteration spot and can handle the most complex alterations in menswear.
