Maids Around Town

I have used Maids Around Town for several months now, and I have nothing but positive things to say about this company. I recently moved to Round Rock and searched online for a cleaning company. I found several, but chose MAT after reading all the reviews and ratings for a few different companies. The initial set up was easy and the customer service has always been great. Every time I’ve called or emailed, they are always professional and have always met my needs.
I work full time and commute to work, so they always come when I’m not home. One of my biggest worries was that I have two indoor cats and I am always afraid with someone coming in that they might leave the front door open or something. I never had to worry!
I also love the little personal touch of notes left for me. «Your cats are adorable.» You have a very nice home.” Those are just a couple of examples, and it makes me feel like I matter and I really appreciate that. Especially when so many things these days are so impersonal.
I would totally recommend MAT. Thank you for making my life so much easier and giving me peace of mind!

Susan, from Maids around Town, has been cleaning my home for some time and does a fantastic job. She’s always on time and makes my home shine. I am somewhat home bound and she does a good job of working around me and my power chair. Everything is always spotless when she completes the job. Not only does she gets everything clean but does so in the allotted time. She is cheerful and courteous; she takes the time to greet my dog. Not only does she great him but also makes sure that there are no white hairs on my brown love seat by the time she leaves. I highly recommend Susan and Maids around Town.

Victoria Z cleaned my home today and did a great job. She was also plesant to have around and was sweet to my puppy. Thanks Victoria and I hope they send you back here again.

You’ve GOT to be kidding me. We paid $ 80 for two hours of work in literally one of the smallest apartments in the area. 400 sq ft of an efficiency apartment. Completely empty aside from some things left in the fridge. One would think that when you walk into an empty apartment, you would attack the major issues first like dirty spots on white walls, stains/​spots on the floors, etc. For some reason, this particular maid decided to completely overlook all of these things and focus on our kitchen — which honestly probably is only about 50 sq feet or less. So it apparently took two hours to clean the fridge, exteriors of appliances, baseboards (there is one about 2 feet long), mopping the floor, and cleaning the exteriors of the cabinets. (I can attest that these weren’t «TWO HOURS worth of time» bad).
I sincerely DO NOT understand why she wouldn’t tackle the seemingly quick (but major) areas like the living room/​bedroom floor and walls before dusting the two foot baseboard in the kitchen and cleaning the exteriors of the three appliances in the kitchen.
I am appalled. Honestly. I can’t believe we spent $ 80 for such a piss-​poor job that I could’ve done in less time, free of charge. The only reason we did is because we work longer hours into the evening, and were hoping to not have to stay on this side of town to get it done since much of our time has been consumed with moving, but I guess we will still have to do that, regardless of the $ 80 we paid.
And to you, Maids Around Town, you should advise your maids to never leave a note saying «Sorry I couldn’t get more done :) «after doing such an especially displeasing job. To think a smiley face is appropriate after scamming people out of $ 80 bucks is offensive.

I needed my place cleaned and there were good reviews so I decided to try them out. Unfortunately something came up and I had to cancel but I did so over 24 hours before my appointment. I received a receipt a few days after saying I was charged for the full amount for services completed. Shocked I went to my bank account and the money was gone. I was charged for 5 hours of service even though I canceled ahead of time. When I called I was given some bogus excuse and I had to call again just to prompt them to refund my money which I still haven’t receive. They didn’t even try to offer me anything for the inconvenience.

Tammy C has once again made our house shine. She cleans items weekly that out past cleaning service never cleaned the entire time we used them.

If I could give zero stars or even negative stars, I would. I set an appointment and they never showed up or called. I called to complain because hello, you didn’t show up! I called and the person on the phone apologized and rescheduled me. When they came to my house the next day, they left my house an even bigger mess than before they showed up. Scheduled and paid for 5 hours, the ladies left after an hour an a half and did not return. Left a whataburger cup on my front porch. Called them and left a message. They called back and left a message stating that the house was «too cluttered and they instructed the ladies to leave». What kind of professional cleaning service does this??? They never contacted us prior to leaving our house. The one maid did not say anything about clutter when the walk through of the house was done nor did they leave a note as to why the house was NOT cleaned! I just came home to a dirtier house! Save your money and go to someone else! We called and got our money back thankfully – with the threat of going to the BBB.

Today I received the Worst Service EVER!!! The Maids Name was Emily, She Came 20 Minutes late and then spent 10 minutes Texting on the Phone and then decides to leave. I have used this Service with Meghan who is amazing but she wasn’t available so I couldn’t request her. When I called the offices they tried to put the blame on me and said my house was too dirty to clean and she didn’t feel safe. which is bullshit because Meghan comes ever other week and there has never been a problem. once I Checked my Wallet i realized my Money Was Missing. I am very disappointed and will be looking for a new maid Service. DO NOT USE THEM!

I have been using this for a while now. Nothing has change. Nancy L. does a fabulous job at cleaning my home. I love how she pays attention to folding towels in my bathroom. She always makes it look like a spa. Thanks Nancy! Thank you to folks back at the office. They always follow up. Love it!

I LOVE this company. I’ve had several different cleaners and they’re all good — but they’re all different too. But the constant is — my house is clean and smells fresh, even with my 2 big dogs. I love it when they leave me personal messages like «you have a beautiful home» (from Kaitlyn). Today, another sweet note from Dawn F «I notice you like Lysol Fresh Scent. I used Meyers Lavender scent.
I’m sorry that Sarah F has a complaint because I couldn’t find one if I tried. Not sure where she shops, but the price is very reasonable. I moved from a 4000 sq ft home to a 1500 sq foot home. Every other cleaner quoted me $ 100+ for my 1500 sq ft which is what I was paying for my 4000! Keep up the amazing work and I’ll continue to yell from the rooftops your praises!

This is 5 stars for Nancy L. She gets so much done when she is here and does a great job. It’s all about the little things and she pays attention to those things. It is really amazing what she notices.

Found this cleaning company on another on-​line shopping site. Setting up the appointment was easy! The company sent a text message and asked me to rate the service and my cleaning professional.
The company is responsive to customers, but there’s opportunity to improve. As busy people, we may find it difficult to fit in a phone call and prefer to email. The company answered my call-​ins promptly, but did not do the same for my emails.
Overall, this cleaning company is doing a good job so far. The rates are reasonable and affordable for tight budgets. I recommend Maids Around Town over all other services I’ve tried in San Antonio.

I saw the add for Maids Around Town on Facebook so clicked on them to see about getting a quote. I filled out the first page of the form which said I would get a quick online quote. The second page said to fill in my address for quote and service, and I started getting worried. The last page said they’d call to schedule the appointment! I was very unhappy about the apparent slight of hand.
I did receive a call quickly from a man explaining why they are a good company and confirming the square footage of my house. The promised if there was an issue they would come out and clean again for free, and said this was unique to them — this is not unique to them, it seems pretty standard from every other company I’ve talked to.
The quote was mid to high of what I’ve been finding in the area and they use the standard cleaning products, so I wasn’t impressed. I got a similar quote from a company who promised to use all green products. From the feeling I got as well as the Unilocal reviews, I see no reason to go with these guys over anyone else.

Our original scheduled cleaner was sick and unable to come, but Maids Around Town quickly found a backup. Joy was great! The house looks beautiful and she did an efficient and thorough job. I will use this service again for sure.

We just had the best experience with Maids around town! Great service. Love having the ability to just have my credit card charged. Love the flexibility. Love the little stickers for the toilet paper and paper towels – as well as the note that gets left each week outlining what got done.

Very unhappy with the one and last time I used them, they sprayed some chemical on my chrome bath fixtures and turned them black, they were brand new fixtures.
When I called them I was told they only used 409 cleaner, well I have used 409 for years and never had it to ruin the finish on any fixture I sprayed it on.
You can see where they sprayed the chemical and it ran down leaving black streaks.
Will not recommend Maids Around Town to anyone…

I’m very impressed with my first experience. Jaimie showed up on time, worked her butt off, was super friendly, and after looking like a complete disaster my house now looks spotless. To boot, I had called around and found this to be the best value I could find. Definitely worth it.

I used Homejoy for over a year, and was really happy with it. Easy scheduling, fairly reliable cleaning, etc. Unfortunately, they recently shut down, not sure why. Maids Around is local instead of a big national company, so I was excited to try them out. Their first job for me was a particularly huge cleaning – a move-​out cleaning on a house I’ve lived in for 5 years, instead of just my normal regular cleaning. They showed up on time, worked hard, and did a fantastic job in less time than they’d scheduled. On her walk-​through, the landlady raved about how spotless the place looked.
All in all, super satisfied, will use them going forward, and wanted folks on Unilocal to know they’re good at what they do.

I can only recommend that you avoid this company.
— Nobody showed up to perform the scheduled cleaning
— They haven’t responded to multiple emails
— They never answer the phone
— My credit card was charged for a service that was never delivered

So, this is a pretty new service it seems like. As with any startups, people need some time to work out the kinks. The negative/“constructive” feedback is great for the back end, but looks kinda sucky for us users on the front end!
That said, Maids Around Town have been cleaning my office space for a few weeks now, and we couldn’t be more pleased. Everything is clean as a whistle both times they arrive (2x a week), and despite our insane amount of garbage, not a grumble is heard!
Moral of the story: cut these guys some slack and give them another go. Even Beyonce had to fail a few times before becoming the Queen.
