Jody, of Get It Gone, is the Real Deal; First Class all the way. He is professional, reliable, honest and has integrity. This was the first time I met and used him, and I will never use anyone else. He’ll restore your faith in this industry as well as mankind. He was able to clear out all of my junk the same day, and really came to my rescue in the nick of time. He really cares, and thoroughly enjoys what he does. If I could by stock in his company, I would. Everything was perfect.

Sometimes you need a man in your life. A man with a pickup truck and a plan. Jody is your man. Oh, he bills himself as a junk hauler but don’t be fooled. This guy has a heart of gold and the sharp thinking of a field marshall — he can get your items moved, carried, packed, sorted, and hauled with no damage to your house or property.
Now, Jody and his guys aren’t movers. They won’t show up with acres of shrink wrap and boxes. But here’s all the ways Jody helped me (yes, I’ve hired him three times) –
Needed a very heavy desk moved from my house to my workshop, out the door, down the stairs and across the yard. They charged a very reasonable fee after I texted him a few photos of the job.
Needed a dresser taken to a girlfriend. She couldn’t pick it up and I couldn’t deliver. We called Jody to carry it out of my house, to his truck and take it over to her place. Again, a very reasonable fee.
And finally, the masterpiece: Jody loaded my ReloCubes for a cross-​country move. We bought all our own supplies at U-​Haul and Harbor Freight, then he (and his assistant) helped us get everything covered with furniture blankets and shrink wrap. They VERY carefully surveyed the whole job and cherry picked items to load in the best order. They handled all my boxes with care and laughter. And yes, oh yes, he even moved that heavy desk again once I decided to put it in the pod. We had a good laugh. But moving is the worst, right? Jody said it was a matter of personal pride: he’d get that desk and anything else I wanted into those pods.
When we got to our destination, the true test — nary a single item shifted, broke, or crushed. His planning paid off and we gleefully cross loaded items up and out. And did I mention they were fast? I have worked with so many movers and handy men and I have to say, Jody is one of the nicest guys you’ll meet in Austin. So call him. If you need a hand, a second husband, a guy with a pickup and a trailer — I can 100% recommend Get It Gone.

Jody is amazing! He did in an afternoon what I could not have done in a month! HUGE garage, and yard clean-​up job! EXCELLENT Job, and FANTASTIC rates! I’ll be using him again very soon, and every time I need a clean-​up job done!

Yep, just like the other reviews here, excellent experience. Called in the afternoon about having some stuff hauled (play-​scape and mattress) and Jody had it gone by the following afternoon. I told him that I hadn’t finished breaking down the play-​scape and he told me not to worry about and that he would take care of it. Settled up the payment over the phone and good to go. Will definitely use them in the future.

Awesome service! I called Jody last night, he gave me a very fair quote and showed up this morning on time. He took everything away and gave me a tip on how to get ride of the wet paint. He doesn’t just go to the dump; he recycles as much as possible. He is very courteous, definitely A+.

Get It Gone is great. I e-​mailed them the details of my job, and they promptly got back with me and we scheduled the work. Jody contacted me in advance of our appointment, and he arrived on time. Jody removed a freestanding range/​oven for haul away and installed a new one I had just picked up from a major retailer. Jody’s install work is professional and I wish I’d have had him out to remove and install a new refrigerator I bought a couple of months ago. I highly recommend this business. The pricing was straight forward and more than reasonable as well.

I have used Got Junk? before and while the people were nice, it was super expensive. Get it Gone was even nicer, and ridiculously less expensive. I’ll only be using them from now on!

Had lots of junk in my garage and yard that I had to get rid of. Called Get it Gone and received a very quick reply from the owner, Jody, who scheduled an appointment for an estimate. Jody called before arriving and gave me a very reasonable estimate and began the work immediately. He did a great job. (His services are probably worth more than he charges.) I would recommend to everyone and will not hesitate to use his services again.
