We recently had the opportunity to work with Komal Sheth with Spaces Designed to transform the «beige and boring» living areas on the first floor of our home. Komal was able to capture the exact essence of what we wanted. The result is comfortable spaces that are modern and stylish.
During the process, Komal’s keen design expertise and her intuitive eye delivered impressive results. Her guidance was invaluable in helping us make easy decisions for the flooring, tile backsplash, wall colors, rugs, and furniture. Her extensive history and relationship with vendors was also crucial in this process. At Komal’s recommendation, we hired a wonderful contractor whose team was a pleasure to have in our home during the renovation process.
The end result is absolutely amazing. We look forward to relaxing and spending time in our beautiful and unique home. Our guests are always complimentary, impressed with the design.

I recently hired Komal for a two– hour, flat fee consultation so I could begin the process of decorating our new– to– us, 9 year-​old downtown condo. She left me with a wealth of information, contact numbers and a zest to begin my project. She chose paint colors, taking into account the flooring, light and my contemporary taste. Komal recommended floor tiles from the assortment of samples I had borrowed from stores and gave me advice on buying and placement of furniture. She aslo offered two solutions for a contemporary stairs banister, drew design pictures on her pad, and helped me visualize what the banister would look like by showing me online photographs. An awkward bathroom door in the guest bedroom did not stump her; she offered a smart, cost-​effective solution that will be aesthetically pleasing and more functional.
I am so glad I called Komal! She is timely, professional, and has a really great eye for color and design. In addition, she is attentive, budget –conscience and has a wonderful, warm personality.
I will certainly use her again in my next project and I highly recommend that you call her.

Komal at Spaces Designed is wonderful to work with. She designed the remodel for our master bedroom and bathroom, which is close to being done. She is very knowledgeable about the newest and best products on the market, and very creative in making spaces look fantastic. I’m fairly artistic, but I struggle with interior decorating to the point that a former Realtor told me that my house looked like a man lived there. I’m assuming she meant a utilitarian, straight man who still had his college furniture. On the bright side, I’m not constantly redecorating, and my husband is happy.
So we finally decided that our house needed some color besides the neutral brown/​beige tones bestowed upon us by our manly builder and our love of natural woods and leather accents. The only problem was that, having the decorating knowledge equivalent to two men, and the budget equivalent to a couple with two expensive children, we hesitated every time it came to decisions.
I ran across a Groupon awhile back for a color consultation from Spaces Designed, and I decided to call in a professional. The young woman who showed up with swatches and color strips was calm, professional, and kinder than my Realtor had been, by far (maybe it helped to have long since given away my college furniture?).
She asked me questions about what colors and styles I like and don’t like, and then she confidently whipped out her tools like a magic wand and laid out a color plan for me. Within an hour, I had designer colors for my pseudo man-​cave that actually made me happy, because they weren’t brown or freaky pink or any other risky colors that scare me. They were an array of muted grey-​greens.
I hesitated a bit when the painter was working, because I wasn’t used to color on my walls, but I bit my tongue. And when it was all done and everything was put back where it belonged, my house was beautiful. I know this, because several of my female friends with actual decorating talent told me so, and rather convincingly at that.
So if you’re ready for a change, even you don’t have the budget or the stomach for a total remodel, you might want to check them out for something as simple as a color consultation. I know they do a lot more than this, and if I have the budget in the future, I’d give them a call again.
