Lloyd had helped with several projects on a couple houses that I own.
His philosophy seems to be that all beautiful lawns and trees begin with a Healthy Active Soil and I have to agree.
Since Lloyd and sprayed our lawn and flower beds with his Magical Compost Tea, wow, they have really come to life. Even as Winter is approaching, my blooming plants still look great.
His tree trimming guys have done wonders with out trees. — trimmed like a piece of art.
I highly recommend Lloyd and his crew.

After discussing with owner Lloyd Terry on a tree and garden cleanup. We agreed on a full day cut and exactly what to cut and where. On the day of the scheduled cut. The three workers finished at 2pm and were well short of what we contracted on. I called the owner to remind him of our contract terms. At 3pm with no return call I instructed the relaxing workers what to cut. They resisted and owner Lloyd showed up at 330. He instructed them to finish after I reminded him it was a full day cut and what we agreed on. They finished the work at 5pm. It was barely acceptable.

Lloyd has an honest passion for what he does. Some people sell what they do as the best. It was clear Lloyd genuinely embraces best practices.
Lloyd notes how hard the ground is when we meet. That means you’re lacking microbes in the soil, he explains. I get it. Little critters both add nutrients that feed the grass and plants and also keeps the soil loose. Hard ground is a signal. I’m ready to move past chemical treatments, and Lloyd has sensible answers I’m wholly comfortable with.
I’ve already selected plants by the time Lloyd comes on board and have things layed out in the beds. Lloyd’s personality makes it easy to collaborate and am totally comfortable to let Lloyd tweak things. Everything looks just a bit better.
We add a drip irrigation system. I learn to not go to Home Depot for parts as Lloyd explains the lines they sell can break. I’m steered toward commercial stuff that won’t fracture with a winter freeze. It just expands, Lloyd explains. That’s a relief. I like being educated.
Parts are ridiculously affordable. As is the labor effort for Lloyd and his crew.
I take note that Lloyd wraps the threads with teflon tape to make a good seal from the faucet. Not that a drip in garden bed is a problem. It just speaks to how I trust Lloyd to take care of the details and not leave any worries behind.
How do we feed to the bed on the other side of the porch, I ask? I think maybe one of those long drill bits used by electricians is the way to go and to drill underneath the step. Lloyd has a better idea and calls a buddy with the right tool. His buddy is a great guy, too. No charge for the tool or his time. He just shows up and helps me figure out a better layout to a bed in the middle of my front yard along the way.
A healthy attitude goes a long ways. Attracts other good people. Helps things go smoothly. Easily. Collaboratively. And also affordably.
Two thumbs up only because I don’t have more thumbs.

First: Loyd is a joy to work with. His enthusiasm for and knowledge of the Austin area garden/​landscape is extraordinary. Great to work with as he listens to your needs and has several options.
Second: if you are a low maintenance or organic gardener/​landscaper, this is the group to work with. Their special-​brew compost tea revived my garden and house plants like no other soil amendment has. That alone is worth calling Loyd about.

Central Texas Tree and Garden/​Lloyd Terry listened to my problem and though my budget limitations prevented me from using his services he still gave me some very helpful ideas to try, which makes him worth his weight in Gold. I would not hesitate at all to give the highest recommendation to anyone seeking an organically responsible Lawn/​Tree/​Garden Company.

First of all, managing partner Lloyd Terry is easy to work with from beginning to the end.
He is full of infectious (in a good way) and cheerful joy in his vocation.
He listened carefully, took in our sense of what we were imagining and made it better. We had real sense of working together to make our vision into reality. As we planned we could go out and see the range former clients with projects he had already completed.
Lloyd is a fountain of possibilities based in a deep understanding of his craft. His comprehensive knowledge of materials and plants helped us make tangible the where, the what and the how but he doesn’t try to impose his vision.
He has the greenest touch with plants, trees and gardens. He attends to the fine details of how to place and orient a plant in the ground.
He integrated existing fixed elements in our yard, carefully moved small trees and roses, dug deep to take out invasive Bermuda. We now have a durable framework within which we can garden with plants to invite birds and butterflies.
He helped us figure out what we could accomplish within our budget. Giving a detailed contract of work to be completed. They followed through in a timely manner.
Just the nicest group of young men, Lloyd and Shaun. Our expectations were met and exceeded.

Central Texas Tree & Garden exceeded our expectations. Lloyd Terry and his staff transformed our overgrown front yard to a wonderful, naturally landscaped gardenscape. They removed overgrown ivy and a full assortment of weeds, replacing them with mulch & a drip irrigation system. Lloyd suggested native plants which will thrive in this Texas Drought providing color and attracting butterflies. He revitalized a 20 year old walkway replacing the old gravel with recycled glass sand which really brightens the whole yard.
I’d recommend Central Texas Tree & Garden in a heartbeat.
