The Patio & Fire Place

we visited them (alana and kathleen) quite recently and they both were just wonderful in educating us in what was needed to convert our fireplaces (2) from wood burning to gas. they supplied everything that we needed. all questions were happily answered and they even recommended to me the plumber who they recommened to many customers of theirs because of this plumber expertise with this type of installation. that plumber permitted us to do this job in piedmont while an oakland plumber could not do one of the fireplaces at all with tearing up a redwood paneled wall and insisted on tearing up the living room wall to get to our other fireplace. the plumber recommended by patio and fire place was so outstanding and so adept (and neat!!) on doing his work that we were able to complete both fireplaces with any disruption of walls whatsoever! this place is just outstanding and both alana and kathleen are a joy to work with.

Great selection, great prices, very helpful staff especially Kathleen. Very knowledgeable and fair, good advice, and delivery was reasonable and prompt! Love this place, went to all in the area and they had the best deals by far.

Kathleen was great. She went to extra effort to make sure I was happy. She was fun to work with. loved the energy and knowledge.

I recently needed to buy a fire ring for my new fire pit. I didn’t even know what a
fire ring was.
Everyone at The Patio & Fire Place Shop, educated me on what I needed and how
it should be installed.
While I was there I saw a beautiful display of crushed lava rock and they
once again assisted me on what I needed.
Yes, I am very happy with my shopping experience and my firepit works great!!!

Very disapointed. My wife and I found a three-​piece set that was clearly marked $ 2,500 for the set (or very close to that amount). The price tag also showed an additional 10% off of that price. This was confirmed by the salesperson (Kathy or Karen?). When rigning up the transaction, the salesperson told us that this was priced wrong, that the price should be $ 5,000. She called a manager/​owner who would not allow her to complete the sale at that price. The best that they would offer us is $ 3,900. Mistakes happen, but there was very little effort made to rectify the situation. They have lost me as a customer.
