The pizza was awesome and the actual outdoor part was awesome. Loads of locals, we met a couple that say they hang out there most weekends. Pizza was 20 bucks but it was delicious. Favorite restaurant that I went to in PR.

This is the sexond location of Pirilo’s.Personally I liked the first Pirilo’s better. The dough was burned this time. In sercice everything was running smooth until the place got packed. Then everything was slow. Sangria of the house was very good, a bit expensive but really good. I liked it but he other plqce was way better.

At the end of our trip to PR we had tasted great Monfongo and other really good puerto Rican dishes throughout our stay and me being a pizza lover just really wanted some good pizza to end the trip. I found this place and had to give it a go. Well it didn’t start so great. We got there at 1125 and understandably they don’t open until 1130 so we waited outside until 1135, Gates still closed to the restaurant. All the while we can see thr employees inside still prepping for their day. I’m sure they saw us waiting, but didn’t bother to acknowledge it. So I called and asked what time they opened and the nice guy said ohhh we open now(as if they lost track of the time). We gave them 10 more minutes and then walked back to the restaurant, to soon have a good experience. Lucky us, they have a surprisingly lovely CRAFT beer selection!!! And the pizza was so yummy! We ordered the pizza rasado!(Maybe say light arugula if u order this), but it was really really good! Our server was wonderful! Thanks guys.

This location is the best! The empanadas appetizer was so good we ordered another on(you only get two). The pizza was delicious as well, I don’t remember the name, but it had Alfredo sauce, bacon and garlic. The big star of the show was the dessert, Cuatro Leches cake, the fourth milk was coconut milk and it took this cake to a whole new level! My bf and I already decided we are coming back just for the dessert and he won’t share this time! I also need to talk about the staff, such friendly people and everyone was giving us advise on what to go do while on vacation here.

I was staying nearby and decided to stop by here for dinner. Ordered the bread knots, Hawaiian pizza and fries. Loved all three dishes, but my favorite was the bread knots. It was probably the best garlic knots I’ve ever had, perfectly crispy on the outside and really soft on the inside. Definitely stop by here if you’re in the Ocean Park area, right next to Kasalta Bakery.

Smack across Kasalta is the locals favorite hang out Pirilo Pizza Rustica located in the upscale neighborhood of Ocean Park. One should laud Ms. Rossana, house mixologist for her brilliant cocktail concoctions. Her unique innovations Genevevo, Pirilo style Sangria seasoned with ginger, almonds, and sesame seeds and Margarepa, Pirilo style Margarita made with Quenepas(sweet luscious fruit with a jelly like consistency), tequila, triple sec, lemon juice, and Don Crispina spicy cocktail with pisco, lemon juice, egg white, campari, and jalapeño were beautifully seasoned, balanced, and vibrant. Bravo Ms. Rossana! Satisfy your munchies with an array of Italian-Caribbean Fusion dishes.

Awesome local restaurant. Tons of pizza choices with lots of Puerto Rican influences. I mainly came here late night as this pizza/bar spot was near my hotel. All the bartenders and waitresses are amazing. The place has a great vibe to it and the service is top notch. Lots of beer choices to choose from. Tons of appetizers and great great pizzas on the menu. I came here 4 nights in a row not only because of the location but because I knew I would have a good time and get a chance to mingle with the locals. If you’re in the area definitely put it on your list.

We arrived with a party of 6 and were sat in the back(inside). After a larger party left, we were asked if we wanted to be moved to the patio where there was a bit more room. When we arrived, our appetizer was already at the new table and we were quickly given silverware and plates… the transition was seamless! The service was great… Walter & Sarah were our servers and they were patient and thorough when explaining the menu. There was a decent crowd for a Monday night(we were there from 8pm-1030pm) but Sarah was sure to keep our drinks filled and made sure we were taken care of. My husband didn’t realize that there was a 2x$ 5 beer special so when we asked for our bill and he had only ordered 1, she offered to give him his other beer to go. The skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and the La Pampa pizza were fantastic! But honestly, I would probably go here even info the menu was just average. Great service and atmosphere go a long way!

We were wanting pizza and beer for our last meal in PR. We got a large thin crust(perfectly done) ½ el pescado(I think) which was pretty much every type of meat and ½ onions, arugula, goat cheese which was my half and wonderful. We also had 2 beers for $ 5. The service was great and thankfully she was able to accommodate my elementary level Spanish. It was an easy walk(albeit in the rain) to our hotel. We had every intention of stopping somewhere else for dessert but just couldn’t…we were stuffed. The large pizza is 8 pcs… huge pcs. We would’ve actually been fine with the personal sized with 4 pcs. Great pizza!!!

This place is the most meaningful to me and here is why: In 2015 was the first time celebrating my first anniversary with my boyfriend. In 2016 we wanted to celebrate our second anniversary in this same location because we were staying at the Dream Inn Hotel. Little that I know we ordered«Lasitos», 2 «Peroni Italian Beers», «La Pampa Pizza», Pink Moscato Champagne and the Host brought the most interesting thing in the world; a REDBOX to our table; suddenly there was a group of some sort of Spanish Mariachis from UPR of Rio Piedras and they started singing our favorite song. Little that I know I was going to be ask if I wanted to be engaged to the most important, beautiful and caring person in the world. Aaaaaaaaand YES I GOTENGAGED at the most amazing Pizza place ever in all San Juan. I would love to thank all the staff and hostess that took photos and Videos of the money and they were really and genuinely happy for the two of us. A huge hug! Sincerely, Jonas & David

Pizza is very good and well presented; innovative serving tray keeps it from getting soggy in the center. Definitely want to try some other dishes next time. Brownie sundae is a must have! There is valet parking after 5 pm so no worries there. Music is a little loud but they will lower it if you ask.

Wow. This is like some gourmet a Puerto Rican experience! Our first place we ate while in PR abs they set the bar high. Very delicious, great atmosphere. We ate outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather! We ordered the p.r. rice and bean croquettes, the empanada sampler, and the chorizo al vino! Loved all of it. And tell them to bring u the special avocado hot sauce!

OMG, OMG, OMG best pizza place I have tried in Puerto Rico! The ambience is great, the appetizers are good size for sharing and affordable, all the pizzas I tried were amazing. The pirilo one, the salmon one and the tripleta one. If you are starving you will eat the regular pizza, but if you order appetizers and drinks you could easily share one with another person. These are very different pizzas and if you are a turist, you can still get Puerto Rican flavors while eating pizza. Many locals in the city like this place. Waiting time to get a group table can be 30 minutes or more on the weekends. Is worth the wait. It seems pricey but is WORTHIT!

They’ve got the best patio in the neighborhood, and some of the best food. The servers are also very friendly and helpful. It pains me to say this, but I haven’t actually tried their pizza. It looks fantastic, but both times that my wife and I went here we were more in the mood for tapas. I think we’ve run through about half of that part of their menu, and nothing we tried was short of excellent. The melted cheese with chorizo is especially tasty! The house hot sauce that comes with the Empanadas actually has a little bit of heat to it, too. Not overwhelming, but it’ll be enough to piqué your interest if you’re a chili-head. Pirilo is definitely on my short list of places to visit when I’m in San Juan, and I haven’t even tried the dish the specialize in.

From the time we arrived to the time we left Pirilo on Ocean Park,(and even after!) we were treated like dear friends. Not only was the service impeccable, but the food was modern, perfectly prepared and delicious! The pizza is now one of my favorites in the San Juan area. The salad was just wonderful with a lot of different flavors going on. The cuatro leches dessert was superb! We must go back! Even when we left, we had car trouble and the manager and staff helped try to get our car jump started. How amazing are they? And when we had to wait for a tow truck, they invited us back to the car to sit and wait with drinks. I don’t know any other place which would do that. We will definitely go back. Just be aware, they are extremely busy on weekends and holidays so prepare for some wait time but you can go mid week and possibly walk right in as we did.

The pizza here is amazing. My favorite one is called«La Pampa». It has fresh chimichurri, tomato sauce and Argentinian sausage. It’s incredibly good. This place is awesome!

Pirilo at McLeary St. opened not too long ago based on the success of its Viejo San Juan sister store. The pizza here is very good, and so is the ambience on weekend nights. Would recommend. Only issue is the parking. However if you’re feeling dauntless you can do like me and park in the nearby Walgreens. So far I haven’t been caught.

Pizza in Puerto Rico? Heck yes! I generally have a rule where I only eat local cuisine on trips, but after reading the reviews, I knew I needed to make an exception. We decided to stop by Pirilo on a Sunday evening thinking we’d casually get a pizza and then walk along the beach. And whoa, it was PACKED and jumping, truly«Hot and New» as described by Unilocal!Everyone there seemed to be from the neighborhood, so you knew it was going to be great. We walked, but if you have to drive, there was valet. Luckily we snagged a table in the back where there’s a/c and a ton of seating. We were greeted by at least three friendly hosts/servers who told us about their local craft beer selection on draft and a few of the highlights on the tapas and pizza menu. Everyone was super helpful! As for the menu, there was SO much to choose from. Generally I don’t like big menu because the lack creativity and really, how can they be good at all of them, but this was cool and everything looked fantastic! Since we could decided between a few pizzas, we decided to get two smalls(4 slices) vs a large(8). 1) Pizza with chipotle carnitas and pica de gallo 2) Pizza with a vodka sauce, spinach and garlic Both were good — hot, good crust, nicely seasoned. I do wish the vodka sauce had a little more flavor, but the spinach was outstanding, including the local beer recommendations. Some of the most creative pizza I’ve ever had! All in all, I’d totally recommend Pirilo. It was a tad expensive($ 50ish) for three beers, two small pizzas, and a small tapa, but an enjoyable, tasty and eclectic experience that wasn’t swarming with tourists. Bön appetit!

So Pirilo opened up a second location in Ocean Park, sandwiched between La B de Burro and Kasalta, one that you don’t need to go pushing through hordes of tourists in VSJ to get some gloriously amazing pizza. Yeah, my life just got a whole lot better. For anyone who hasn’t been to the one in Old San Juan, it’s some fucking orgasm-inducing pizza that will literally make you want to leave your date at the table and just say«Fuck it. I’m out. I can’t even right now» because this pizza is the fucking Edmonton Oilers of pizza, with Wayne Gretzky shooting triangle-shaped slapshot loads of cheesy, tomatoey goodness into your mouth. You might need a wheelchair after this pizza it’s so damn good, and you’ll need someone to wheel your fat, content ass back to the couch while you digest and think about how much your life sucks in comparison to this pizza. If the Tripleta Pizza was a person, it would be your one-upping neighbor, living next door in his house twice the size of yours, driving around the 2016 Porsche GT3 with the trophy wife and a weekend home in the Hamptons, the one who goes on and on about how great his son is doing in school and how he just got accepted into Yale and blah blah blah droning on at the yearly $ 50,000BBQ pool party he throws at his house, and you look at him and wish you were blasting a hole in his head with laser eyes because you hate the shit out of this dude, but secretly you envy him over your unfaithful tramp of a wife and your 28-year-old son living in your basement and your dead-end job with the never-ending TPS reports. Yeah, this pizza is that motherfucker. Oh, you were looking for an actual review? Very polite waitstaff, prices range about $ 20 – 25 for a large pizza, you’re looking at probably a $ 50 tab with tip included for 2 people with a beer, the outdoor seating area is very open and breezy and well appropriated, and while it’s not a breeze to find street parking, it’s much easier than VSJ. Boom. My work here is done, if you’ll ‘scuse me, Imma go git a pizza.
