I’ve been here a couple of times and the food and mixed drinks have always been pretty good. The place doesn’t look very clean and could use a little facelift for the area it is in. The waitstaff is usually nice but don’t do a very good job at checking on you. The food gets dropped off and you don’t see them again until you are done. The upstairs patio area provides a nice breeze while having your meal and a nice view of the passing tourists. I’d come here again.

Best quesadilla I ever had. Plenty of cheese and more chicken than cheese. They use a large cheddar tortilla. Avocado, sour cream, and salsa dips too. 4 Heineken for $ 13, winner winner, chicken dinner.

Good sangria, fat fried food, friendly staff and and open air patio. Stays open until you stop paying for drinks as far as I understood. Full bar, mixed crowd between tourists and locals.,

I visited Puerto Rico recently and was so thrilled to find this gem of a place. Great food and wonderful service. I liked it enough to come 3 times. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also drinks late with a very happening fun crowd. Definitely coming again!

Colombo Cafè is located on Ashford ave. the workers are very nice and friendly people. They hold open bar on Saturdays which was wonderful. $ 20 per person gets you all you can drink Bacardi, Absolute, or Don Q. They offer great beer and liquor deals and happy hour. They offer breakfast all day and they have good food. The bartenders are funny and do some cool tricks behind the bar, and also know how to make a delicious drink. It’s wonderful that they also provide an outdoor deck eating area which is great for that island breeze.

Had a great dinner, atmosphere was live with good music to accompany. The food was great, my wife had the chicken quesadilla, the chicken was well seasoned and the tortilla had a soft flakey texture. I had the fried pork, which was tender and also well seasoned, complemented by the PR favorite mofongo which was a pleasant delight. It reminds of a mashed potato dish but more solid form with more substance. Highly recommend this place if you’re strolling on Ashford Ave.

Went on a girls vacation with four of my sisters and two close girlfriends went to this place day one had a blast went multiple times between Thursday and Monday. So Saturday night we went in and drank and had a very interesting entertaining discussion with the bartender. The next night we go in and they are short staff… my table sat as the waiter served everyone but us. After talking to the manager I discover that a bartender quit on the spot. With this knowledge and knowing I’ve been here all weekend I took every drink order on the deck and cleared the table so our server could at least put our food order in… he still severed everyone but my table. I told the manager and he said drinks are on the house and he would comp our bill… he charged us for our drinks and the food and taking all of 30 bucks off and I didn’t even get my order I loved the food but they played me and I was trying to be helpful and it totally backfired. It hurts me to write such a negative review but it wasn’t right how we were treated our last visit and I give you my work I will never in life eat here again.

Very nice staff, and the fare is a little better than bar food! The quesadilla was sooooo good. The Carne Fritas was not the best but pretty decent. Honestly it tasted and was fried differently everywhere we went. No pics but a decent place to have a beer and snack!

Stayed at Condado hotel. Just stumbled upon this restaurant because the others were closed. Decided to give it a try. Went inside and notice there was no waiter so we asked the bartenders if we can get seated. He said go right ahead so we sat down. 10 minutes of wait, still no server so I went and asked the bartender if we can get served. He pointed at the menu and I took it then went back to the table. And there was the server with the menus. Then he told me to take the menus back down as if I’ve done something wrong. I said«no, im not going to». Then he yelled«its disrespectful and u can put it back or leave» and continued to yell«lets go». I wasnt going to stay and argue with a server on vacation. If you’re easily offended then don’t be a server, stay home cause the real world isn’t for you. Worse service I’ve experienced in history of history. I wouldn’t even give this place a star if it wasn’t necessary for this review. Overall, if you want awful service from a subhuman server. Come here, it’ll be the best dining experience.

Great location with a 2nd floor patio, very good Mojito, but that’s where it stopped. Ordered Chips/Salsa and a Fried Pork dish with Tostones. The Chips were stale round nacho chips that you’d expect from a Movie Theater. Salsa was something out of a jar or can. Ok, I get it, not their specialty I guess. Our original waiter was happy scrappy, brought the drinks out fast as well as the chips/salsa. Switched waiters after our drinks and chips. The main dish took over 30min to come out and was a pile of very overcooked pork chunks with no flavor. My jaw hurt from chewing them. The Tostones tasted like they were ready around the time the pork should’ve been taken off the grill, but wasn’t. Not a place I’d suggest for anything more than drinks and people watching.

Note: This is not a «4+ star restaurant», it’s merely based off of my overall experience. Most people probably get this place and Waters(underneath it) confused pretty often. However, after being ignored and unattended to at Waters… we left. I walked up to Colombo to inquire if their kitchen was still open, and the man who greeted us told me they’re open until whenever I want to leave. Friendly, points. We sat upstairs out on the patio that overlooks much of Condado and was promptly brought menus and informed of drink specials, they’re pretty decent depending on the day. Okay the food. It’s typical bar food. It’s probably way more delicious and appealing when drunk and 2AM, but it wasn’t half bad sober. The Greek styled pizza was actually pretty good, however, I was craving lamb and that was to console it. The staff was pretty friendly and accommodating. Very attentive with service and drink refills. He also asked what kind of music we liked to change the station, which varied until the place got busy. It seems this place is pretty standard for locals & patio filled up quickly. Like I said, the food wasn’t out of this world… but it was good for the late hours and price. My friends and I did enjoy it enough to go twice, so maybe that says enough.

I have to say I was hesitant to go and have lunch at this place after reading the reviews here, but I have to say I had the best lunch I could have in Ashford Ave here, I guess they most have a new management or crew because the server was very nice and personable, service was outstanding and my salad and chicken platter was excellent, I had frozen yogurt as dessert and was delicious! They have a cool terrace where you can enjoy a great view of the area and the server told me at night it gets really nice with their happy hour. Would I go back? Absolutely! Next time I’m back in Puerto Rico…

Not impressed at all. The service was sub par at best. The pancakes were hard, the eggs were hard. My friend had a banana split and the strawberries were old and soggy. They need to do better.

BEWARE! DISHONESTCRIMINALS! We actually visited this place by accident. We were trying to go to the place downstairs and didn’t realize it was a separate place. We decided to stay after looking through the menu. HUGEMISTAKE! We ordered 4 different entrees and were all disappointed. They were all tasteless and one of them was even cold. Our waitress took our order then disappeared for the whole meal. Another guy ended up checking in with us toward the end of our meal. We ordered a bucket of beer from him and figured we would try to make the best of it and play some music on the Juke box. It’s mentioned in another review. I went and put a dollar in and was surprised to see there were 17 credits! At home we have the same touchscreen type juke box and bars routinely put free plays on the box for customers. Not at this place! We play 5 songs from the credits and the bar tender came and yelled at us. He said it was VERYRUDE! I offered to pay him back, I didn’t want any problems. He just yelled about how terrible the music was that we played and that we stole the credits. We decided to finish our bucket of beer inside and pay. We walked to the bar and I realized I forgot my iphone on the table. I was gone for literally 2 minutes, walked back up and the waiter had just finished clearing the table. He said there was no phone there. I asked to speak with the manager. I got to talk to the owner who insisted her workers wouldn’t steal my phone. I’ve got news for her. She is employing thieves. I immediately returned to my hotel to use my Ipad app, FINDMYPHONE. He had already turned the GPS off, but I was able to lock the phone and ultimately«Wipe» the phone of all my personal info. My company reported it stolen so he’ll have to take it to a hacker who can jailbreak it for him. I’m sure he knows one. So in summary if you want to eat at a place that has terrible food, bad service, complains when you play songs on the employee’s juke box, and steals you blind literally then defiantly hit this place! Puerto Rico is a great place, but people like this give the whole country a black eye!

Terrible, terrible food. We went here for breakfast, and ordered the pancakes, which were tiny, not soft, and just defrosted and cooked from frozen pancakes. The eggs were overcooked, the bacon had too much fat in it, everything was pretty much bad. I got the cheese crepes, which were tiny, especially for the price, and the only ok thing about the cheese crêpe was the strawberries and bananas on top, but even the strawberries weren’t fresh strawberries. Prices were expensive, especially compared to Dennys. Denny’s food is much much better than the food here!
