I thoroughly enjoyed this place. The dinner was fabulous and the views were beautiful. Everyone was so attentive and accommodating. My family also made a really sweet connection with the owners, and we all took a picture together at the end. This place is really one of a kind. Also our waiter, Guiseppe was very cute and sweet :)

This was probably the fanciest place my husband and I ate at in Sorrento. It was a great romantic location on the water with a good view. The service was the best we’ve had in Italy by far. Be sure to make reservations even on the weekdays. We were able to stumble in without one early on a Wednesday for dinner, but we saw several couples turned away a little later. They actually had to make reservations for Friday because Thursday was already completely booked. The food was excellent. Complimentary bruschetta was provided at the beginning of the meal and limoncella at the end. I had the pasta bolognese and my husband had the beef ravioli. For an antipasto we had the eggplant casserole over cod. That was the only thing I didn’t love(my husband thought it was pretty good).

We love our meal here — celebrating our10 year anniversary! The staff we friendly, attentive and on top of everything and all of our needs were attended to promptly! The food was delicious and flavors were not too over done. No heavy sauces just clean and lovely! Oh — and the view is spectacular!!! It wasn’t the easiest to find as it is tucked into the corner of the marina but it is so worth the walk to find! Loved our meal there — highly recommend!

We visited for dinner when already dark out. This place is really best to visit during the early evening for dinner when there’s light, or for lunch, so the view can really be taken in. Without the view, the food is just«good» and not great or 5 out of 5 worthy. There were 3 of us who all got different meals and we all agreed it was 4 out of 5. Be sure to come here early enough to have light to experience the awesome view! Otherwise it’s just another italian seafood restaurant.

After reading the reviews, I HAD to try Delfino’s while on holiday in Sorrento. I got the linguine with shrimp — it was okay. My mind wasn’t blown by bursts of flavors from the dish. It felt kind of standard issue. I was a little underwhelmed by the small size of the shrimp to the lack of salt. Not terrible, but I doubt I would walk all the way down there to get it. Service was great and the view is lovely. I had the lemon cake for dessert — while enjoyable, not the amazing, life changing experience I was expecting based on the reviews.

Just happened to come down to Marina Grande for dinner because I was craving some good seafood. After walking past a few restaurants we saw this one with a menu that looked good and a good vibe(i.e. Not too romantic and quiet). I had the grilled shrimps(yum) and my friend had the pasta w/shrimps. The service was great and the waiters had good personalities and joked around with us. They called a taxi for us when we were done with our meal and gave us some free limoncello to drink while we waited.

My wife, mother, and I completed out our trip of Italy at this restaurant a few days ago. This is a nice restaurant that overlooks the sea. The food was very fresh. The waitress was particularly helpful. My wife ate some mussels. I ate a seafood risotto. My mother ate grilled seabass. My mother said the fish was very fresh. I wish that I was able to spend more time in Sorrento. This is a place worth going to. You kind of need to know the roads though, as it is easy to get lost. We were walking there on foot from our hotel. My advice to the owners of this restaurant. You have good service and food. You need to make yourselves known to the tourists who stay on the hotels on the main street of the town. Not all of them are«adventurous» like my mother, wife, and I.

Hard to get reservations so quick, if you’re reading this now and plan on a visit to Sorrento, do not hesitate and make your resevations ASAP. They’re usually booked out a week in advance! This place is one of my top best 3 meals in Italy so far that offers a beautiful view and atmosphere of Marina Grande, professional top notch service, and excellent food! My boyfriend being the fish lover and a fishermen himself, he’s apparently a «fish connoisseur» and most places we’ve had ordered fish throughout Italy either slightly overcooked the fish or under-seasoned it… but not Delfino’s! Delfino’s fish was cooked to perfection and was absolutely tasty. You MUST get Delfino’s Seafood Risotto! Possibly the best risotto I’ve ever had!

Decent food but a cafeteria like feel. Heavy on the salt. The staff couldn’t be any nicer or more accommodating.

Was recommended to come here from a friend back home in CT, USA. We went here twice on our honeymoon and left feeling like family. Definitely order the seafood risotto, but EVERYTHING is amazing and the service was the best we had in all of Europe. We will tell any of our friends who come to Sorrento to visit this place. The view was excellent as well. Two meals that I will remember for the rest of my life.

Really happy we made it here while in Sorrento. We went for lunch and all the staff were very welcoming but also attentive and thoughtful. The food was absolutely delicious. We had calamari fritti, blue fish parmigiana and the gnocchi. We wanted dessert but were too full as the servings were huge! Definitely worth a visit.

Amazing! Best seafood platter in the area. I had pasta with clams and zucchini and my wife had the signature risotto. Both exploding with flavor and seafood. Great view right on the deck that looks across the water at Vesuvius! Would recommend to anyone.

The food was good not great. Expensive place. Nice views. The risotto was the best dish one the table. Some of the fish dishes were a little dry. Small portion size fish for the price. Squid was rubbery. I think its overrated on here. Fyi the map on here is wrong. Its close but on a different street. Use google maps to find it.

My boyfriend and I were visiting Sorrento for 2 nights and ate here 3 times! The restaurant is right on the water with a magnificent view of Pompeii. The restaurant is family owned and the staff is fantastic. The food is AMAZING. We had the calamari, spaghetti with shrimp, spaghetti bolognese, pasta with lobster, mussels and shrimp appetizer. All were incredible, but our favorite dish was the calamarata delfino, which was a circular pasta in a tomato cream sauce with seafood and zucchini. Absolutely delicious! Great wine selection and great desserts as well. We got the house white wine with all our meals and the cake with strawberries and lemon cake for dessert. Easily one of the best restaurant experiences we’ve ever had. If you are in Sorrento this is a MUST go. Make a reservation for dinner.

Best restaurant we found in Sorrento. Not only is the food excellent, fresh fish and pasta, but the setting is amazing on the water in the cute fishing village. The only reason I did not give this restaurant 5 stars was because one of the servers tried to pickup my 17 year old daughter coming out of the washroom. I guess Italian young men are a little more aggressive than americans.

A gorgeous, uninterrupted view of a sunset on the Mediterranean Sea. Music playing in the distance. The sound of waves gently splashing and seagulls squarking. Great service. Friendly staff. Great food. I would not hesitate to come back. The bread was perfect. Perfect texture. Perfect flavor. Made even more perfect with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I could not refrain from nearly emptying the entire(generous) basket all by myself. As a starter, I ordered tuna tartar. I could have eaten another order of it. So delicious! Sea Bass was also perfect. So fresh. Very flavorful. Cooked perfectly. The best fish I ate all week. Possibly the best meal that I ate while on vacation in Italy. Between the food and the scenery, the entire night felt magical. To note: Rather difficult to find. A lot of poorly lit alleys and stairs but once you begin the descent down to the marina grande, you will spot the restaurante immediately. If you love the local specialty, you’ll appreciate the complimentary limoncello served at the end of the meal. Can be rather cool once the sun has set. I’d have preferred to have had a sweater.

On our honeymoon we were able to get the last reservation for two on the dock sitting directly above the water. The atmosphere was incredible; 360 degree panoramic views of the sun setting over the seaside. Next, the service was beautiful, not typically a word I would use to describe service, but definitely fitting for this setting. Our waiter was very attentive, warm, friendly and most importantly knowledgeable. He recommended every dish we experienced and the choices were perfectly paired for the atmosphere. Ok, now onto the food… Started with Brushetta offered by the chef, then the cheese plate which complemented our bottle of local pinot grigio. Then came the best seafood risotto of my life! Usually I think risotto as being too heavy and rich. This one was packed with clams, mussels, squid, shrimp, and FLAVOR!!! But wait, there’s more… The lemon cake. Let me just say, I will remember that lemon cake for the rest of my life. And I will visualize an Italian grandmother bringing it to me fresh from the oven because that is how it tasted. Honestly I don’t know what was better the service, the atmosphere, the food, or the experience. But I do know you must go there and experience it for yourself.

Welcoming restaurant with a great view of the bay. PROS: — large portions — service is very attentive — complimentary limoncello to finish your meal — view can’t be beat CONS: — have to get here before dark otherwise the view is too dark — a tad on the salty side — a bit pricey The food is all very fresh and robust in flavor. At dinner, the cool breeze from the bay is very soothing and tranquil as you hear the calming whooshing of waves. I definitely feel like the food is catered towards the palettes of tourists but that isn’t necessary a bad thing here because all the food is well done. I remember service being exceptional even beyond just being good to tourists. At the end of your meal they provide you with limoncello so you can sample some of what the proud folks of Sorrento and the south of Italy are famous. As we were exiting the restaurant, our server provided us with a small emblem to of a Saint to keep us safe on our journeys. In sum, you will get your fair share of seafood here and leave very satisfied. If you beat the sunset you will have some of the finer views of the marina and that alone is worth the trek.

What can I say but this place was the best restaurant we went to in Sorrento! We sat on the deck for dinner and was greeted by all the staff which provided great service! Even the restaurant’s family dog, Channa, was friendly. What a best way to celebrate our honeymoon with great food & ambiance. Food portion are large. They give complimentary bruschetta, bread, and salad. Wish we knew that before we ordered eggplant parmagiana for appetizer. Hubby got risotto delfino which had various types of seafood, I had gnocchi delfino. Both dishes were superb and too large to finish. They also gave complimentary limoncello to cap off our evening. Oh my was it delicious!!! We had no room for dessert even if we wanted dessert. The location is a tad hard to find. but basically go down to Marina Grande and go all the way to the left. It has a deck and the last one in the marina. Note that dinner starts at 630pm, we wanted to try the place out the previous day but it was closed(we came by at 500pm). Staff was super friendly, place is superb and clean, food is top notch. Our Rick Steves Italy 2013 book suggested this place and it was on spot!

If you are in Sorrento, this is a must visit place. First and foremost: the view. Oh my gosh, the view. You aren’t just sitting by the water – you’re essentially sitting on the water. The view is absolutely incredible. Everything at this restaurant is freshly prepared – we’ve tried their seafood risotto, lobster with big maccaroni, and local fish, and we loved every bite of each dish. I highly recommend the local fish because it is one of the freshest fishes I’ve ever had. They prepared it grilled, and it was not dry at all. The sauce they use compliments the fish very well. I loved this dish. Other perks of eating here is that they provide complimentary bruschetta and limoncello with each meal. Yes, you did not misread that. COMPLIMENTARY bruschetta and limoncello. And to top it all off, the service is impeccable. My boyfriend became fast friends with the waiters(although they kept calling him Teo when his name is actually Leo lol). They are all very friendly and extremely attentive. Everything you’d want in a nice restaurant. If you can’t decide what to order, ask them for recommendations! We tried everything based on their recommendations, and we were not disappointed. TIP: it may be a bit difficult to find. After you get down to the water, just keep going all the way down to the opposite end of the marina. The address on Unilocal is not really accurate. If you are walking in the right direction, you should see a sign that has an arrow with the words«Delfino». It’s worth the walk!
