We visited Rome, Florence and Venice in June of 2013 and Er Faciolaro was by far the best food on our trip — we ate dinner here 4 of the 5 nights we were in the city! The service was excellent, Besa and Julian became fast friends. We had pretty much everything on the menu — the steak and mushrooms, the lamb and fresh fish were delicious — and every night we had the 4 cheese gnocchi — it wasn’t on the menu at the time but Besa made sure we got our fix, and of course our lemoncello. We are in the planning stages for a return trip to Italy and we can’t wait to return to Er Faciolaro!

The food was great, the service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere was tremendous. This isn’t a 5 star dining experience, but the food is still very good and tasty.

Had a nice prosciutto and funghi pizza here for dinner. My wife enjoyed her meal as well. It was a pop in that turned out OK but probably would not return. Host directed us inside despite our preference for sitting outside(which had ample capacity). Luckily our waiter inside was very pleasant.

Decided to grab late lunch after visiting the Pantheon. Outside seating is a great place to people-watch. Service is prompt and friendly. My husband’s order of vongole was really delish! On the other hand, I didn’t like my order of pork and beans at all! Pizza is worth trying. Btw, don’t help yourself with the breadsticks on the table unless you are prepared to pay extra for those(1.90 euros).

Yum! Came here while on holiday with my friend and it was so good. I ordered a pizza with mushrooms and prosciutto and my friend ordered spaghetti carbonara. The pasta was crazy delicious! The pancetta wasn’t overly salty(like it tends to be in the U.S.) and the pasta was perfectly al dente. The pizza crust was so thin and crisp but chewy and I thought the prosciutto was sliced perfectly thin. We shared a small bowl of tiramisu for dessert and it was so yummy. The staff was so nice and friendly and catered to our lack of Italian skills.
