near the duomo… a deli best described as a simple pleasure… meats, cheeses, breads and wines… quality of the ingredients shine through the simple sandwiches… great crusty bread with nice soft chew… wide, but typical meat and cheese selections… simple spreads to elevate the taste… appearance of the sandwiches quite simple… take a bite and finding so good… cheap and quick lunch… enjoying glasses of 2 € self-serve wine… indulging and pouring heavy pours to the brim… gluttony…

I write this with a bit of fear that the more people who know about Amorino, the harder it will be to get those perfect two stools outside… Without a doubt the thing I miss most about Florence is Amorino! So good. Such a great location. It’s the first and last place I visit every time I’m in town. Until next time…

This review is long overdue! My husband and I were there in December and stumbled upon Amorino on a quiet side street near the Duomo. We did a wine tasting and food pairing. The brined pork was amazing! The balsamic glazes/creams he paired with cheeses were also tasty. Many people were stopping in for paninis. Everything was great– good pours, great prices. The owner was so nice and friendly, even opened Google translate on his phone a couple times to help with some of our tourist questions. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

We were looking for a decent place to eat lunch, and since it was mid August a lot of places were closed. We stumbled upon this place as we were looking around, and figured we would give it a shot since they seemed to have a large menu of sandwiches and more importantly the bread looked good. We were very pleasantly surprised, the sandwiches were awesome — including my wife’s veggie sandwich(it can be very hard to find a good veggie sandwich). Wine and beers here were pretty good values as well. Located right behind the Duomo.
