Always a solid choice for sweets, coffee or lunch when I’m in Dublin! It’s in my favored rotation. Today I popped in to load up on some sugary treats for my team to power through the afternoon, and PG&Co did not disappoint. Weighed down with about 15 delicious squares of varying composition and a few coconut mound cookies for good measure, I left 50 euros lighter with zero regrets(well my one regret is that I’m not eating sweets this month — womp womp). But everyone else ate them — they were nearly gone by 5pm! *I should’ve called ahead and they would’ve had it ready for me, but I hadn’t planned very well. Regardless they accommodated the sweet invasion very well. I always love their coffee too — made by a very friendly chap with a great passion for making great coffee drinks. It’s exactly what a café should be — friendly, fast, high quality, cute with nice food to boot. Well done Peacock Green!

Nice place to go for lunch, in the city centre and in an old train station: Hartcourt. The menu is bit short, but tasty. The offers are always on the door, written in an old style on a black board. You will find two or three main courses and some sandwich options. They have some pastries to sweet your afternoon too. Take away also available. During the week there are lots a lots of workers there tanking energy, having a rest or just buying the lunch. A tipp: the meatballs there are a good choice.

My wife has been raving about Peacockgreen for some time now so I made the little trip in the other day with her! The location in itself is awesome. It’s under the old Harcourt Street Railway Station(a fascinating building in its own right) but underneath lies a cool little ally way of coffee shops and eateries. Peacockgreen being one of them. At this point in time I can only vouch for the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff and the amazing coffee. As I was on route to work when I popped in I didn’t have time to eat but from what I could see it all looked amazing! It remains in the bookmark folder for lunch. Stay tuned for my review of the food.

Because my review is over a year old, and after being back here again today, I feel the need to reiterate my point. The food is so GOOD. The staff are so FRIENDLY. The décor is so CUTE This place is just so PERFECT. (Went for the lamb kofta with potato wedges, side salad(as much as you can fill up), and seasonal greens. It was immense and so filling and only 8 euro. Deadly) I hadn’t been back here in ages, but I’ve learned from my lesson. It won’t be so long next time.

One of the best place to get your caffeine shots here in Dublin. First, the staff is lovely — from remembering your regular order, to offering cupcake to your company when you are faithful customers, via a permanent smile on their faces. Also, look at that place! Did you expect anything better? I don’t… Nested in a stone alcovy, decorated with great taste, they rocked the vintage-map & message-boards to perfection. The second you enter, you get carried by a smell of coffee and sweet, sweet cookies in a whirlpool of pleasure. Here you go, mad hatter, I’ll take… the carrot cake? The huge berry scones? The XXL cookies? And, with this, a matcha latte… Or a Hemp milk cappuccino? Get ready to be torn between all the options you have here. They also have great lunch options(I only tried the soup but it was THECRAIC), and you can just go there to work if you need to as they have wifi and a big space where you can work.

Alright Peacock, I’m sold! Having been in on a number of occasions now, with different guests who were all very pleased, and having received the same great service, good prices, and the best damn pulled pork ciabatta I’ve had since I was in Memphis, you take those five stars. You take them and own them. (Seriously though the pulled pork was delish. Not everyone’s favourite I’m sure but for me it was just perfect– I’m sick of getting a pound of pork in these sandwiches and feeling like Babe’s whole family went into making my lunch. This one had just the perfect amount of vegetables(with a delicious Thai-style flavouring) and just the right amount of pork in there for a good juicy chew. YUM)

I’ve been coming to Peacock Green for some time now as it’s close to my office — but that’s not the only reason, there are loads of great cafes in the area. What brings me back here for my daily 10am coffee date with ms Shazza is 2 of the staff that we have regular contact with here. They’re always delighted to see us and really make us feel welcome. The coffee is very good quality and they have a different guest bean of the month, there is a large selection of foods available too including tasty treats. I also love how quirky this place is, lots of gorgeous décor and little details. you can even purchase some of the items they have on show. 5 stars for these guys!

I pop into PG almost daily and the coffee has always been excellent. Really friendly staff too who after my first visit seemed to remember me. Love places like this. I love the quirky interior too. One thing I would say their matcha tea is pretty decent but the matcha latte… Wooooo… I couldn’t finish it but that’s nothing against PG just the matcha!

Love the range of breads available for making your own sandwiches, good range of Italian ingredients, staff are friendly and helpful. Prices? Average. This is a great spot for a coffee mid morning, nice and quiet with plenty of space and a nice setting.

So it’s been twice I tried to go there, but it’s close on sundays so I came back a tuesday because I had to work and I was looking for a quiet place with a good wifi, this place was obviously the right place for that. The ambiance of the café is really nice, a bit different because of the place it stays in, which I really enjoyed, and very cosy. I was really hungry and I hoped that there would be something I could eat in this place, unfortunately there were really nothing. I first asked if they had any gluten free pastries, which they did not, not even the usual brownie we can find nearly everywhere, so I ordered a matcha latte with soy milk. After a few minutes I got back to the counter and asked if they had gluten free bread for there sandwich because that was obviously their«specials», and I admit that I expected an answer like«no we don’t, but since we have salad(which I saw), we can pour the ingredients of the sandwich and make a salad ?» or something like that, because it was already the second time I asked for something gluten free, unfortunately they did not propose anything like that. So I basically stayed with my matcha latte, which is the only thing I can give a note for, and since I actually really didn’t like it(really really really far behind what I’ve experienced so far in terms of matcha latte) I’ll only go for two stars for this place. Also, I was surprised by the bathrooms being a bit dirtier of what you could expect for a place like that.

Sehr schickes Bistro bzw. Café in Dublin.

This is a lovely little coffee shop nestled in the middle of a large commercial office complex. Ambience — the best way to describe this place is that it’s like hanging out in an Anthropologie. Yes, the women’s clothing and home retail chain. Coffee — pretty decent. It’s nothing I’m going out of my way for but I would pick it any other option in the area. There is a second register just for those ordering coffee near the door. You can skip the very long food queue if this situation applies to you. Good to know — tables are very close together and given it’s popularity also crowded. Make some friends and sit communal. Additional plus is there’s no credit card minimum. Didn’t have the food but the pics look great! Next time I visit Dublin I’ll definitely be making it a point to try some of the cake.

Woohoo! As good as it gets! Yep, Unilocal it really is! I’ve been here now a number of times since I started working in the area… Now this is the first time I’ll kick off a review to actually just mention the staff foremost… These guys are super friendly, always a welcoming smile when I go in, always helpful with tea or coffee selections and just all round good folk! Round of applause for these guys… Coffee is great quality, a little love goes into it and my friend, opting from the tea selection is always given the time to smell the aromas and options… I’ve taken to having lunch here recently and also sampling their baked treats… Wowsers everything has been spot on, lunch options are super generous with a yummy salad selection to go with any of your hot food choices or sandwich/wraps. Summing it up, I am a regular here and will definitely keep it up… My recommendations have got some of the folk about the office also making a visit here!

How pretty is Peacock Green? Very pretty and all of it is just lovely to look at. Decent coffee in the morning, with quality scones too. I was short 20c one morning when I was in for some takeout coffee, but the server told me there was no need for me to go to bank machine and let me off. How nice? Being nice like this is what gets people back in. I’ve been for lunch now too and that was very tasty indeed. I opted for the Italian Job, which was Parma ham, mozzarella, tomato, leaves and pesto on a sourdough baguette. I got it toasted and was served up with a spoonful of couscous salad. 6EUR for this eat-in. All the other food looked really nice too, with the presentation of it all impressive. That said, I wish I had ordered it for take out. There looked like there was seating available when we ordered, but the long table in the middle of the seating area that seats about 16 – 18 had been reserved for about 14 people. We nab another table when some folk happen to be leaving, but we watched as staff ask people to vacant seats at this reserved table only to find there was no where else for them to sit. It just doesn’t seem the type of place that’s suited for reserving tables, not during lunchtime anyway and not for that many people. Thats my rant over on that subject. All in all, recommended.

Very pretty cakes in the window! Lots of different teas. Interesting and inventive sandwich combinations. This is a new enough café and it is quite off the beaten track but very much worth a visit! I’ve had the Italian sandwich, so tasty! Also had a lemongrass tea, so yum!

So I noticed this place a couple weeks ago when I was heading to the Thursday lunch pop-ups behind The Odeon. It looked super cute inside so I made a note to stop in at a later date. This past Friday I was on my way to Mortons for a takeaway sandwich, when I saw the Peacock chalkboard and quickly changed course. The place was so charming with a lovely display of sweets by the door, a tea and coffee barista area and a nice selection of café tables and cute decorations. I walked toward the food displays at the back of the café and in addition to salads, sandwiches and wraps they had a lovely selection of quiches and Spanish omelettes. One of the Spanish omelettes looked particularly tasty with sweet potato, courgette and a few other veggies so I ordered that and added the chicken caesar wrap in lieu of getting a salad. The omelette had some great flavours and required no additional seasoning. The wrap came with romaine lettuce, chicken, bacon and had a nice tasting caesar dressing — much preferred to the pre-made wraps you find at Mortons next door. In looking at Unilocal this appears to be a third location for this restaurant so I’m excited they opened so close to my office. Definitely worth trying!
