I had scrambled egg and bacon this morning. Very tasty! Very fresh. Very fast. The queuing system is odd but this is really good. I’m thinking about going back for lunch!

Need some greens in Dublin City Centre? Look no further, Cocu is a healthy oasis! Having eaten and drank extremely rich food in my first few days in Dublin I decided that the midweek lunch had to be dominated by greens. The ordering system is great in Cocu, despite there being a long queue when we went in it moved pretty quickly. The set up is simple, you order a meat, sides and toppings all served up in a box or if you’re sitting in a plate. I went for the pulled pork, on sweet potatoes and brown rice. It came beautifully garnished with pomegranate and drizzled in balsamic vinegar. This was absolute perfection. Sitting in was a struggle as we went at 1pm but we managed to nab a table just as another group left. There’s free water and they also make a fantastic flat white. A perfect lunch destination for those who are watching what they are eating!

A super solid, heroically healthy lunch spot in Dublin 2! This place literally saved me. Our office is across the street and I was in for the week. It was a catering smörgåsbord of sandwiches, cookies and other very tempting treats. Each day I’d dismiss myself for lunch, sneak over to Cocu and indulge in greens upon greens and very well prepared proteins. The first day I had the Viet Chicken which to be honest I found a bit water(like an inch of water at the bottom of my takeaway tin!) but the second day I fared better with the baked flaked salmon over sweet potato and spinach.(delicious!) I like the customized nature of things — you pick your box and then what you want it served over(add sweet potato for just 50p if you need a bit more filling up) and then a topping. I always went with the nutty topping and it added a nice crunch. Que moves fast. It’s very reasonably priced(around 8 – 9 euro), and there are spots to sit and enjoy. It’s run efficiently and by some very friendly folks, so even during the lunch rush you’ll be in and out with your healthy box of lunching. Very good indeed!

Having eaten copious amounts of high calorie, high fat foods over the past few days I was over the moon when someone whispered the word salad as a possible healthy lunch option. We headed over to Cocu and I loved it from the minute I entered. The emerging trend of healthy fast, on the good food I think is just brilliant and this place definitely solidifies this for me. As with any fast food vendor you queue up to order. There are three steps in the ordering process — choose your topping(vegetarian and meat options available), choose 2 sides(or a large sweet potato with hummus) and choose your sprinkle. Simples. I opted for the viatnamese chicken salad with a side of large sweet potato with hummus and the herby sprinkle. I was handed a number and headed to my seat.(If you’re having take away they make it for you there and then and hand it over). The food arrived within 5 minutes. All the salad was fresh and portion large(although there were a few too many cucumber slices for me). The chicken delicious, slightly heated and packed with flavour accompanied by a delicious peanut almost satay tasting sauce. But the main event by far was the sweet potato with hummus. The half potato was HUGE and a real thick layer of hummus piled on top — I couldn’t even eat it all there was that much. The hummus itself was thick and creamy — everything you’d want from hummus and so much more. For a salad this was top notch and I left seriously full and 100% satisfied. I’d also like to give a shout out to the staff. Every single one of them had a smile on their face, asked if you were enjoying your meal and how you were finding Ireland — they just wanted to talk and know your story — it was lovely! i’ll definitely be visiting again when I’m next at the Dublin office!

Really tasty food, really great set up and handles the busy lunch crowd well. Have eaten lunch here a few times and loved each combination I’ve gotten. The pick up area for take out is a little small and the dressings sometimes separate but I can deal for the flavour and the quality of the food. Price can seem a bit much for lunch but it really generous portions and really fills you up! I am not a fan of the eggs for breakfast though! They might be better when had in store but I found that in the take out box they kinda sweated and lost all appeal. I probably wont be back for breakfast but I plan on filling my loyalty card and getting my free box(another bonus)! only 4 more to go!

Healthy, tasty, generous portioned and great value food. You order by picking a meat, then 2 salad options and can top it with a choose of 3 things, e.g. seeds, nuts, etc. I’ve tried many of their options and all impress, my fave is the middle eastern chicken! They do offer a breakfast menu but for me, this hasn’t really impressed, over priced and not very flavoursome… For me, it’s all about their main salad menu. Prompt and efficient, great for a quick grab. There’s plenty of seating in this branch so it’s a great place whether take away or sit in. Their menu, for a first time visitor is a lot to take in and I feel the staff could do a little more to help those break it down, I know it makes sense but it’s a lot to take in when you’re eying up the menu and staff are looking to quickly serve them, if you spot a newbie, why not help them… A quick friendly bit of verbiage could speed things up :-) You can pre-order for collection for groups which is great for lunch meetings, saves time and makes the meeting more productive!

Finally a good salad option near my office! Why I say finally– it is impossible to get a good freshly made salad around here(Dublin 2) that will actually make you full afterwards. I must say I was slightly skeptical of Cocu as I thought it was just super Healthy Food and more for veggie people than a carnivorous eater like myself. However you get a really great salad for a reasonable € 8/€ 9. It is very simple to order which I like and the options are great. I usually go with the Salmon and Kale. The portions for take away are actually larger than sitting in. The line can be long but generally moves pretty fast.

Always wanted to try this place for lunch and now that it opened 2′ from work I don’t have any excuse. It was very busy at 1 but the queue moves quite fast. I decided to eat there and had the Vietnamese chicken with spinach, sweet potatoes and nutty sprinkle. The portions was very generous and so delicious. The only negative point would be the price, although it is justified by the quality and the quantity — it’s just somewhere I couldn’t go everyday for lunch. Lovely staff too. Will definitely go back soon.

Great. Lovely lovely food that’s not bad for you here at Cocu. I’ve had the Bircher Muesli, which is very nice. And it can be got quickly too as it’s prepacked, in the fridge. At 3.50EUR, it’s just edging past value for money for the amount you get, but when I’ve not made it myself at home, it’s very handy to have it ready to grab here. I’ve also had the Smoked Salmon & Avocado egg pot once and that was very nice. The avocado was nice, the smoked salmon delicious and the egg buttery. For 5.25EUR, it’s a grand breakfast, good quality stuff in there. I still need to try their lunches. But if their breakfasts are anything to go by, I’m looking forward to it. One thing I’m not a a fan of was the coffee. But that’s more me than Cocu. It’s this new small sized coffee that’s sold as a regular sized coffee. This phenomenon has appeared around Dublin in recent years with the hipster movement. It looks like it’s here to stay, but I will be avoiding it. The potent flavour does nothing for me. Final word to the staff, who are extremely nice. Cocu is something fresh, different and healthy. I’m a fan and a new regular.

Ummmm there was a queue, and I queued. I never queue for food. It’s against my religion or something. Especially lunch food. Why would I give up a segment of my lunchtime to go wait in line? This isn’t America. The thing is though, I knew it’d be worth it. I’d been to the Baggot St one and had been harping on about it since. So, I did the unthinkable. I queued. To be fair, it went crazy fast and I was actually in and out in ten minutes. Grand. So, the food. It’s really really good. The portions are huge for what you get and I love the mix of ingredients. I got the Middle Eastern chicken with avocado, feta, brown rice, green leaves and a vinegar type dressing. It was divine. Loads of everything, all really high quality, and left me with that full feeling but without feeling stodgy. It’s all laid out really efficiently and clearly too, and the staff were smiley and on the ball. It’s not hugely expensive, not hugely cheap, but with the quality and quantity you get, I think it’s worth every penny.
