This is the only Hawaiian restaurant that I know of in HK. It is a fairly unassuming and simple place. The staff was very friendly and helpful in suggesting what combination to have. Basically, one can have a choice of two sashimi toppings, with rice or salad or half each. The staff will also let you try the toppings for flavour. The sashimi is fresh and are interesting with different sauces. The salad was fresh and good. There is also a choice of white or brown rice. All in all, a healthy but delicious meal!

I’ve heard about this place from a friend that told me they’ve just had Hawaiian food for dinner. I thought«no way. There now even have Hawaiian in Hong Kong?» Little did I know that this amazing new concept, akin to the Chipotle/Calimex burrito bowls are called poke bowls. Apparently the poke bowls are all the rage back home in New York so it was cool to see it being introduced to Hong Kong. Similar to a Japanese Chirashi Bowl(Sashimi on rice), you get to select two types of poke tuna/salmon mix on a bed of brown rice, white rice, salad or a mixture of both. it has been my third poke bowl in the last 2 weeks and I gotta say, this stuff is addictive ! My favorite is the brown rice salad combo with the spicy spicy tuna and wasabi cream salmon. They also serve craft beer and spam musubi(Hawaiian spam sushi) which i loved during my last trip to the Waikiki… I’ll definitely be back there to try other poke flavors !

Amazing Hawaiian Sashimi Rice Bowl for $ 90! The staff super nice and they let you try each and every topping of the day! Their available toppings change every day so if you wanna try some specific favours you might need to drop by another day. All their toppings taste great and I especially like those with salmon. For the base, I recommend getting half salad and half rice so that you get to experience how the toppings matches with the two bases. The serving size for the half-salad-half-rice base is just right for me. The shop is pretty small with limited seats so people typically order take away. Otherwise you can try seating on the steps outside and chill with your bowl of poke. I did that and that’s absolutely cool:) I am in love with their Yuzu Salmon topping and really look forward to try out other favours next time!

Great Sashimi Fusion Place! Service is great and let you try stuff! Food quality is great and price is really okay for raw fresh jummy fish:) for the basis you can chose salad or two types of rice. Also tofu is available in case you are vegeterian! Desert options can be better.

I’ve come here a few times and like it a lot. It’s got healthy, delicious Hawaiian raw tuna dishes. It’s also well priced. The atmosphere isn’t great for rating inside, but it’s nice to take it outside and sit on the steps.

Wanna have a light dinner before yoga, so salad would be perfectly fit Standard price $ 90 per bowl, u can either choose rice or salad and with 2 toppings It was my first to come so they let me try the toppings one by one before I made decision I finally chose yuzu salmon and tofu. Portion was so large but too yum that I finished all and hence wasn’t a light dinner anymore lol

Trekked to Soho on my trip to Hong Kong last month. Being a first timer at Pololi, the owners let us try basically every flavor of ahi possible and gave us a little intro of each. A bowl of poke(with two types of ahi) contains 180g of protein!

Great healthy option. Quick takeaway(or done in on the few seats they have on the side) of poke which is mostly flavoured raw fish. The staff are mightily friendly and will let you try different toppings if it’s your first time.

If there was a higher Unilocal choice than 5 star, Pololi HK would get my vote for the higher 5 star. If you are familiar with Hawaiian poke, this is the real deal of Hawaiian poke and it is hands down, absolutley, no question, the best tuna I have had since arriving to Hong Kong. Unlike sushi, poke is still tuna, it is just cut differently and as such, it has more of a thick, dense, heartier texture. I love sushi, but poke from Pololi is authentic and really mouth watering. I prefer the cut of poke over sushi, but know that it is still the same tuna. The concept of this store of bringing poke to the public in a creative way is very cool. You pick your base(salad or rice or a combo of both), you pick two poke(they have about ten varietals every day) and you pay $ 90HKD. It is served in a bowl. For $ 90HKD, the flavor and quality exceeds the price. They also have masubi, but had run out by 8pm on a Friday night… I guess you snooze, you loose! Store is small, so this is more of a grab and go spot. If you go during a non busy time, as we had, there are like six counter top stools you can perch on and inhale your poke. I could have eaten two bowls, it is that good. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. They were eager to explain the concept of their restaurant or have us taste any poke we wanted before buying. Through the Unilocal community, I found this little gem. THANKYOU Unilocal! We will be back… like maybe once a week we will be back. A bonus is that they have a frequent diner card, buy 10 bowls get 1 bowl free! We will have no problem filling this frequent diner card up fast!

Very refreshing and different meal from the usual. Loving the hawaii/american style japanese food. I got the avacado mayo and spicy ahi tuna, both were very good! Salad was very fresh too, which created a good mix. Also tried the spamasubi which wasn’t bad, but would have been better if there was less rice or more spam! Overall great experience!

Love! If i live in Hong Kong and work in central, Pololi would be one of my favorites for lunch. The poke is legit, and their portion is generous for the price. Server quickly recognized it was my first time there(i stared at the menu quite hard) and she let me try 3 of the ahi options. After that, i had to have the spicy ahi and yuzu salmon on half brown rice and half salad for HKD$ 90. The place is pretty small(seats maybe four on some chairs along the wall), and the food is already automatically served on a disposable bowl, so it’s understood that this place is probably meant for quick takeaway meal.

After several meals of pork and feeling bad about myself, I decided to search«salad» and Pololi came right up. The location is a bit off the beaten path but there is a mural of a Hawaiian girl outside so you can’t miss it. Their poke is delicious and comes in lots of creative flavors. I love that they let you sample a few flavors before committing. Bonuses include a stamp card, complimentary phone chargers, and credit card capabilities.

It took us a LONGTIME to find this place because we got lost. But the cold cold AC greeted us as we walked in. I picked the white rice with HK style tuna and the weekly special(coconut tuna). They are pretty generous with the tuna, which is good. It seemed very simple though, literally just seasoned tuna and rice. Its $ 90 hkd per bowl which is an okay price. It really is a takeout place because they only have 4 seats inside. If you’re in the area I’d go check it out.

There’s nothing I can say that the other reviewers before me have said. EXCEPT, TELLEVERYONEYOUKNOW about this place. If someone asks«What’s Poke»? You say, «Sushi. But it’s not sushi — It’s better» Anyway, we ended up visiting this place towards the end of the night. At that time, they gave us two kinds of poke in our bowl for the price of one. I guess this is the promotion in order to get all the food out. They don’t serve leftovers the next day. Two thumbs up! (Only bar seating inside for about 6 people. Sit outside on the steps on the«grass» cushions they provide)

I was wandering the street hunting for food and was intended to hunt down some Thai. However, I needed a place that take credit card, and I found this place. The location is clean and welcoming. The owner of the place was actively engaging customer to promote the food they have. He noticed that I have never been to here and he offered samplers on all the many types of Poke they have. It was an around the world experience and given lot of educational information. Also you have the choice of full bowl rice, full bowl salad or half and half. The food seems very healthy and I estimated to be around 450 calories per bowl. With the tuna tasting fresh and with good cut of texture, also with the regularly rotating poke taste, this place is just awesome and a fine gem in the neighborhood. Although location is not the best, as it is just at the food market, not like soho or lan Kwai fong, but I am sure this place worth you a walk to the market for.

This place has LEGIT poke. No joke. I went to college in Hawai’i, and my expectations were high for poke(poh-keh). When I ate their raw fish, it gave me flashbacks to when I was in Hawai’i, and it really made me miss living there. I walked through little food stalls/street markets, and a bunch of steep slopes in HEELS to get to this place! Was it worth it? YES. This is practically the ONLY place in Hong Kong with poke. This place is fairly small, and seating inside is very limited, so you might end up sitting outside on the steps, especially when you’re in groups. How this place works: Step 1: Choose salad/brown rice or white rice. Or half half. They only have one size bowls by the way. Step 2: Choose two flavors/toppings of ahi tuna. Step 3: Pay 90HKD. Or. If you only want the fish, it’ll be 60HKD. They offer multiple flavors, such as Hong Kong, Thai, Spicy, Avocado, etc. They also allow you to taste test before ordering. Awesome. They do run out of different flavored poke sometimes, so you might have to wait until they make more. It won’t take too long. Besides poke, they also have spam musubi! It’s a slice of spam on a block of rice wrapped in seaweed. Sometimes with sauce between the spam and the rice. People in Hawai’i also indulge in this type of food as a snack. I haven’t tried it because I already had a giant bowl of poke to eat! So filling! They offer a stamp card called Poke Card. 1 purchase of poke is 1 stamp. When you accumulate 10 stamps, you get a free bowl of poke! Well, don’t mind if I do! The staff were wonderful. And I feel as if everyone who walks in knows the guy named Alex there since he seems to be the most talkative out of everyone else. Very friendly person. I am a happy camper finding this place. That is all.

Best poke in Hong Kong! Well, it might also be the only poke in HK. For those of you who don’t know what poke(pronounced poh-keh) is, it is diced, raw, flavored tuna. The dish originated from Hawaii. I’m from Hawaii and this place was my poke fix while I was abroad. I couldn’t have lived without Pololi! Their poke tastes exactly as it would from Hawaii. It was delicious and fresh. Perfect healthy meal for those who love raw fish. You have the option of getting two choices of poke on a bed of rice or salad. There are many different flavors to choose from so it’s hard to decide. Luckily, they let you try the flavors before you purchase it. My favorite flavor is the Thai lemongrass version. Nowhere in Hawaii has that Thai version they created here so try it! It reminds me of ginger/lemon chicken. I love it. Pololi has the best service imaginable. I got takeaway a few times, and they make makeshift ice bags to keep your poke cold. Gotta love it! They let me taste flavors before choosing, and they’re all so friendly! It reminds me of poke places back home. Before I forget, I have to mention that they have spam musubi here too! Crazy! Poke + Hawaiian beer(long boards) = perfection. Come check it out.

Great staff and fresh, delicious food. I went in for the first time and was offered a sample of everything before making my choice… it was all very tasty. I chose the avocado and original spicy, and highly recommend them. It’s a great, healthy option for lunch and very filling. More tuna than I could eat!

Healthy, hearty, delicious and quick?! Hallelujah! If you’ve never had poke before, your life is about to change big time. Poke hails from Hawaii. It’s delicious dressed raw tuna(like sashimi or crudo) served on a bed of rice or salad greens. Like a sashimi bowl, but better! Pololi has a variety of flavors to choose from. I’m a fan of their creamy wasabi flavor and the Thai version with lemon grass, but honestly all their flavors are winners. Alex, the owner, will let you try them all! The tuna is of high quality. I was honestly surprised by how tender and fresh it was. Much better than the many famous places I went to stateside. They jane a fun staff so join them for dinner and beer from Hawaii. Their take-out option is also great. Their special packaging keeps the tuna separate from the bed of rice or salad(or both if you get half half). You get to choose two flavors of tuna so don’t fret if you can’t decide. I stopped by yesterday and got to try the new garlic shrimp that they’re working on for the summer and am excited to have it again when it’s on the menu.

A poke store in HK! They have a really interesting concept where you can select different flavours of poke and put it on top of a bed of salad or rice or both! Tuna was very fresh, flavours were all very tasty. I recommend the traditional spivey and the Thai flavour. Try out the Hawaiian beer as well! Imported straight from Hawaii, I’ve not seen those beers anywhere else. Staff and the owner, Alex, are wonderful and friendly and act as local guides, feel free to stop by and talk to them as they are super friendly and can recommend things to do, direct you where to go, and where to eat!
