I invited 6 of my girlfriends a there for my birthday dinner. It was a steady stream of patrons that night yet not too busy so the staff was fairly relaxed and very friendly. It was all of our first time there and we all enjoyed the food. With our group setting we had pre-ordered a set dinner menu that was offered at the time of our reservations. The mantis popcorn shrimp with duck yolk batter was devoured the quickest. The portions were great for us ladies and possibly needs to bit a bigger for the gentlemen if we had them there. Wagyu wasn’t memorable. Whole fish was well cooked but a bit slow with deboning. Raw crab and uni on rice could be even better. Desserts in variations of sorbet and ice cream were nice. Pumpkin ice cream not memorable. We were able to bring a birthday cake to continue our celebrations. Overall a very enjoyable birthday dinner! Good follow up service with their rep emailing to check on how our evening went.

Not that hard to find. You just follow the street number and you reach your hands to this speak-easy spot. My review may not be overviewing as we mainly sampled two things on a not too starving Friday. The entrance reminds me BrickHxxx but this is more school style here. Very minimalism deco. I heard good things about their sides so went straight for the monk fish liver and froi gras terrine with aged tangerine peel. Quite a twist with the orange peel. And the dip is just right. We ordered a whole mullet baked in sea salt and herb crust. The sides are good though I couldn’t remember the sauce. Fish is cooked to perfect. But for the price I can also go to Fish Bar at JW Marriot and enjoy the pool by the side. Not sure what is Fish School’s positioning.
