As with previous review I read(the only one about this restaurant on Unilocal), this place is a bit old school and dated in feel. It is on the second floor of this plaza(take the escalators up one floor). Cheesy pink curtain, tired soft goods(i.e. carpet, chairs, table linens), dated décor in many ways. It does not detract though from the good meal we found at Ho Choi Seafood Restaurant. MAKENOTE: MENUISENTIRELYINCHINESE! As such, be sure to go to this place with your Chinese speaking family or friends. Place is casual(we were in shorts and t-shirts, but others were more dressed up) and was not busy at 6pm on a Monday, but was clearly busy at 7:30pm when we were leaving. Staff was not overly friendly, but not unfriendly, so we were indifferent to this. We thought the meal was good and reasonably priced compared to other close by. We had chicken, bok choy veggies and fish. Clearly with their large tanks of fish and abundant options on menu, they are proud and known for their fish. We had a fish that tasted like halibut and was really quite tasty. It was at a special price that night and we took advantage of the special. With a diet coke, our bill was $ 300HKD out the door. They did have the sweetest oranges provided to us compliments of the house after we paid our bill. Sounds funny to say the free orange was tasty, but it was! This place is in our hood, so we will be back.

My dad actually brought me here. It’s one of those old school Chinese restaurants that’s been around forever but fell out of style. It’s a bit dated and not very crowded. Food is solid here. The seasoning is very good. Wish they had use fresh pork in the orange pork dish — that would make it a 5 star for me. I think our server overheard me wondering about complimentary desserts and poof! The red bean soup appeared at our table. LOL!(I think my dad was a little embarrassed but it’s ok~)
