First off, to call yourself a craft bar establishment, you should have at least 5 – 10 craft beers. Tsing Tao and Carlsburg doesn’t count. Yes they have tons of TVs with multiple sports channels, it’s probably the most redeeming point. But where’s the NBA and baseball? Was excited to try this place since it’s recommended by Time Out. But what a disappointment. After walking miles in 100 degrees I was hoping for an air conditioned tavern. Even washing down an ice cold beer/cider didn’t help. Ladies, beware of the mosquitoes since it’s an open door.

I enjoyed the HH here with my friends and colleagues. We ordered buffalo wings, calamari, fish & chips, full ribs and pizza. The food quality is average. The restaurant is a good place for you and your friends to chill out and relax after a long day of work. the beer is super cheap! it costed me only $ 40 for a pint of Heinekin after 9pm! Average spending per head: $ 150

I am from California, USA and have been dying for a place where I can watch sports and have some food my body is used to. This place would be a solid sports bar back in so cal. But for Hong Kong this place is amazing!!!

TST is not exactly what springs to mind when you think about AFL(that’s Aussie Rules Football for anyone not from down under) — although, to be fair I don’t know many people from outside the State of Victoria who DO think about AFL on a regular basis, and yet, here, at Eastside Tavern in Kowloon is short short wearing Sherrin kicking in all it’s finery. The place obviously takes its sport seriously, there’s a Sports Schedule section on their website so you can check that your game will be on before you get there. The beer’s not bad either. Apparently, Eastside is the best craft beer pub in Hong Kong. On my visit I saw little to dispel this notion. I ordered a Big Wave Golden Ale, can’t say I’d heard of it before, but was impressed enough to order another, and would do so if I came across it again.
