One of the best places we went in our trip to Hong Kong. You already know this place is legit when you see the old décor of the restaurant. We didn’t feel like we were in Hong Kong when we were in there. We had the arugula and mozzarella salad, mushroom pasta, Lasagna, T-bone steak and Dove Sole fish. They were all amazing. The pasta was made to the perfect texture. The steak was very juicy. The fish was not cook with complicated sauce, probably just with salt and pepper but it tasted perfect. All in all, the food was made in the simpliest way possible but it taste like the best dish you have ever had. We were so full that we didn’t have room for those dessert at the dessert cart(which were screaming at us when we walked in). I am sure they taste as great as the entrée. Service there was excellent. They accommodate anything you ask for. We wanted the above dishes but they were not appetizer. So the waiters split the pasta and salad for us as a appetizers. And the whole meal was perfectly paced. LOVE this place!!! I hope this place stays forever. As in Hong Kong, great restaurants are sometimes forced to disappear with increasingly sky-rocket rent.

Sabatini is one of those restaurants I have very fond memories of. When I lived in HK in the 90s, this was one of the top Italian restaurants in town. I remember many delicious meals here. Fast forward now, nearly 2 decades later, the restaurant still draws a crowd and the food is still pretty much the same. It is hearty, country style Italian food using exquisite ingredients. My friends and I enjoyed a lovely Italian dinner including antipasti, pasta, lamb, prawns, fish ending with a delicate soufflé for dessert. The restaurant also has a 4-person band which serenades the guests by wandering around the restaurant. The atmosphere is comforting and hasn’t changed much through the years. It was indeed a heartwarming experience for me coming back here after so many years.
