BESTWAFFLESEVER!!! The best waffles you will ever taste! Located of a side street near to the Markt, this little front facing shop offers a selection of topped waffles. Choices consist of maple syrup, chocolate, caramel, banana, strawberries & warm cherries, all with the option of whipped cream. Cooked in front of you fresh. This is a must for any tourist in Bruges!

Alright my English speaking friends. This is the ideal dessert spot for a lovely stroll through Brugge. The waffles are cooked fresh right in front of you and oh my goodness. That cream on top is amazing. I did the cream and strawberries and it was like angels singing when I took that first bite. We walked into the town square, found a bench and soaked in all we could in this beautiful place. You must stop by this wonderful place to really experience all that Belgium and specifically Brugge has to offer. It really does give you the full experience! Such a lovely restaraunt and place!

I dare say that this is one of the best liege waffles i have ever had in my life! Also not that expensive as well! Get the plain one and appreeciate the sweetness bomb from the sugar inside the dough and although most liege waffles are super doughy and i found them to be too heavy … The waffle here is just perfect!

Große Empfehlung an alle Naschkatzen.

BYFAR, the cheapest and most amazing Belgian waffles in all of Belgium. Before I traveled to Brugge and Brussels, I spent some time researching where to get the best and most affordable waffles and by far Chez Albert is the place to go. You won’t regret it.

One of the best waffles I had in Belgium! Definitely recommend stopping by and getting one or five waffles from Chez Albert. Cooked to perfection and tons of topping options but should definitely try at least one waffle au natural.

Located on a street that my partner called«chocolate row»: a little side street off of Markt where nearly every shop is selling chocolate or sweets of one variety or another. Chez Albert does only one thing, and they do it well: fresh waffles, hot off the grill, that you can eat on the go! The staff are quite friendly and there’s rarely a long wait, the line usually isn’t long and they prepare your order quickly as well. The grill is right up front and it’s fun to watch them make the waffles: I was amused to see that after they finish a few batches of waffles, they clean off the grill with a vacuum cleaner! The waffles alone are quite sweet, with a nice variety of textures, including the slightly crunchy sugar crystals and a soft, almost gooey center. You can get any combination of toppings on it: caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, fresh strawberries, cooked cherries(in a cherry sauce), and most importantly, slagroom(which is Dutch for whipped cream)! I really enjoyed it with strawberries and whipped cream. With so much sugar in the waffle, the fresh strawberries tasted a bit tart in comparison, which I thought was a good balance, it would have been too sweet for me otherwise.

Good Liege waffles, 2.50EUR each without adornments(like chocolate or fruit or slagroom). Tried a few times, pretty consistent, but definitely best when freshly made. One of the few places on the streets between the Markt and the Burg that I would recommend, though it’s just a take-away window.

Tasty and fun. Makes for a quick and rather inexpensive stop considering the alternatives. Wouldn’t call it a must do cultural experience or anything but I enjoyed my waffle.

YUM! I recommend the whole sha-bang: waffle covered in(dark?) chocolate, strawberries, and whipped cream(the real stuff!!!) for € 6.50. I thought the waffle itself was sweeter and more sugary than all the toppings. You can see some of the sugar when you bite into the waffle, but the toppings really complete it if you’re looking for a real treat/dessert. Also, service is quick and prompt, which was surprising because of how busy they were. I think they’ve mastered the systematic technique and process, haha. Definitely props for that!

This place serves waffles to end all waffles. I had a waffle with chocolate sauce, strawberries, and whipped cream. OMG! I can honestly say this was the most amazing waffle I’ve ever had. My husband had a waffle with caramel sauce that he really liked. The waffle itself was chewy and sweet on its own without all of the toppings. And for under 7 euros, I thought it was a bargain. It was filling enough to serve as my dinner for the evening. If I’m ever back in Bruges, I will definitely make it a point to stop here.

This is what you’re looking for in a Belgian waffle. It is unlike any waffle I have had in the U.S. I couldn’t stop coming here! The waffle on its own is amazing but they also have indulgent toppings like chocolate sauce, homemade caramel, whipped cream and strawberries. There are steps across from the shop that you can sit on to eat your waffle. It is just a walk up window so no seating inside.

We tried the waffle with chocolate sauce on top. It was tasty, but I thought the waffle was a little doughy. The Leige style waffle that we had in Brussels at Maison Dandoy was much better.

No reason to explain how good these waffles are, because the other Unilocalers were spot on. Hands down, the best waffles in Bruges. Unfortunately, we had these first and thought all waffles tasted the same. We were wrongly mistaken as other establishments just reheated the waffles, ucckkk. We quickly found the error in our ways and frequented Chez Albert for the rest of our time in beautiful Bruges

I’m not a big fan of these kind of sweets but HOLYMOLLYMOTHEROFEVERYTHINGDELICIOUS. This Belgium waffle was the best one I’ve ever ever tried. I mean, I’m sure I became some kind of deity after the first bite. My waffle was so angelical, it tried to fly away to the heaves but thankfully I was able to hold it down and devour it. Yes, not eat it, Devour it. And by IT I mean the 3 I purchased. Now I miss Belgium even more.

All men are created equal, but the same doesn’t apply to waffles. There were 10 people in line in front of me and I was shocked to see them vacuuming each waffle maker and making fresh waffle after fresh waffle(many waffle stands just reheat pre-made waffles — trust me, you can taste the difference). I went with a plain waffle at € 2.50 and ate it off to side(savoring each caramelized sweet bite). Every time someone came too close, they received death stares… nothing was going to interfere with me finishing my new found favorite waffle. Thank you, Chez Albert… whoever you are.

Hot, quick and fresh, you can’t get much better than this. I saw a bunch of people walking down the street with these waffles and I followed my nose to Chez Albert. The girl who helped me was friendly and efficient and I got my piping hot waffle with chocolate sauce in less than a minute. It was good and I really contemplated going back for another one! It was around 3 – 4 euro but it was still worth it.

Very delicious waffle stand. The waffles are soft and flavorful, and the texture is great overall. I personally liked the plain waffle without all the chocolate/strawberries/creams etc. The prices here are very good and the ingredients are fresh, a must when in Bruges
