Anything you may have heard about Belgain chocolate being the best of the best is true, and in my opinion, largely in part to this place! I can’t pronounce it, but I am confident this is the hot spot in Brugge for top notch chocolates. I spent quite a few euro in here buying chocolates for friends back home, but I feel it was a great value. For roughly € 17 one can purchase a box containing a sampling of white, dark, and milk chocolates averaging around 30 pieces. And the proprietors of the shop are lovely, but then again, who wouldn’t be in a good mood when surrounded by the world’s best chocolate? There are plenty of other chocolate shops to choose in Belgium, and unfortunately I didn’t try them all, but take my word for it-this one is phenomenal!

This place looked amazing. I don’t mean the chocolate breasts in the window. But their chocolates display. The chocolate Rabbit with Easter eggs looks so cool. Worth a visit.

Renown, I don’t know. But surely one of the more crafty yet organized display of chocolate shops I came across. The shop is not very big but it is stacked and well laid out with many common cubed, molded and artsy chocolates. In the display window is what appears to be a three feet sculpture, and one would assume from chocolate of two angels, one looking up while whistling and the other next to him all messy with what looks to be chocolate firecrackers on the ground. Sure to take people’s notice. Walk in and in the counter are the neatly organized cubed chocolates along side truffles and balls of chocolate confection. And across from the counter are the shelved by the wall with more packaged treats. The place is neat, clean and well organized. Walk to the back and if you’re lucky like me you had the chance to see the actual chocolatier molding the chocolate onto the trays. The chocolates brand is Pralinette. I prefer not to use internet jargon sometimes but when it fits… OMG! very tasty confections and smooth chocolate indeed.

Of all the chocolatiers along the Wollestraat(and there a lot), this one stands apart for its awesome window displays, *actually* hand-crafted artisan chocolates, and a range from gifts for mom and dad to less than modest shapes for your sicko friends. Family owned and operated, Tim was lovely and let us sample bits of this and that before we put in an inhuman order of chocolate gifts ranging from elephants for my mother in law, a cat for my boyfriend, and chocolate tits for my work colleague. An awesome personal touch, warmth and welcoming vibes, a cut above the rest, for sure!
