We only stopped in for dessert and water but it was totally ok! Our waitress was friendly enough. Our water was cold and when we asked for ice, they brought us some. It was 95 °F outside, so ice was necessary!
The waffle with strawberry and cream was delicious. The strawberries were fresh and large.
The place is expensive (10 euros for the waffle), but it has an amazing view, so I can see why. With the huge patio seating, you are paying for food with a view.

Désespérée de trouver une terrasse ensoleillée et pas pleine à craquer … Nous sommes finalement allés dans celle-​ci… En intérieur, faute de place (mais vu l’heure tardive on avait décidé d’arrêter nos recherches de bons petits restos sympas).
La carte né faisait pas forcément envie. Une fois installés à notre table, nous avons un peu mieux regardé cette carte. Rien né nous a tenté. Les prix exorbitants nous ont aussi fait réfléchir. Un steack ou un hamburger à 25 euros dans une quelconque brasserie… Non merci.
Le service désagréable n’a pas aidé. Finalement nous avons fui, et sans regrets. Un attrape touristes par excellence. Finalement, on né s’est pas laissés avoir. Et vu les précédents commentaires … OUF !

We made the mistake of trying something on the main square just based on appearance and ended up spending a lot for a mediocre experience.
The atmosphere is fantastic with a fire, great view and lively crowd. But the food was uninspiring. We started with Onion Soup and Cheese & Shrimp Croquettes. Both were decent but way overpriced. We then had the Flemish Stew and Waterzooi Chicken. Both were just ok. The sauces seemed premade.
To summarize our experience, we paid € 9 for still water. There are much better places to spend your money.

Definitely not a fan. The server had an attitude and requested payment right after we placed our order. I know it’s in a super busy location with swarms of tourists invading the place all the time, but making your customers feel unwelcome is just a bad idea. Plus, it was winter time, I wonder how the place’s service becomes during peak tourist season in the summer.
We sat outside and had a good view of the market and the belfry. Not unexpectedly, they charge high prices for a regular coffee. I can’t comment on the food or the décor inside the place, but you may better off going elsewhere since there’s no shortage of cafes in the heart of Bruges.

Ouille les avis précédents sont vraiment mauvais. Si je les avais lu, je n’y serai pas allé et pourtant. C’était pas mauvais.
Un menu classique, des prix raisonnables et pas d’ajout de somme argent de je-​né-​sais-​où cité plus bas.
Service rapide, assiette bien remplie, terrasse chauffée et vu sur la place de Bruges. Tous les éléments réunis pour passer une bonne soirée.
C’est pas le resto du siècle mais il n’est pas si affreux comme le disent les avis plus bas.

Direkt im Zentrum Brügges gelegen ist auch dieses Restaurant eines der vielen, das sowohl deutsche, englische, französische als auch belgische Speisekarten bereit hält. Soweit so gut wer nicht gewillt ist, große Recherché zu machen muss diesen Touristencharme wohl in Kauf nehmen. Das Lunch-​Menü für 16 Euro hingegen sehr fair. Als Vorspeise ein kleiner Salat mit Baconwürfeln, als Hauptgericht ein Steak mit Frites (wie gewünscht gegrillt, relativ gutes Fleisch für den Preis) und Mousse au Chocolat als Dessert. Alles in allem durchaus in Ordnung was Preis/​Leistung angeht. Getränke relativ teuer, aber durchaus angemessen. Bedienung sehr freundlich!

Le serveur nous invite à commander des légumes en plus de nos plats qui soi-​disant n’en comprenaient pas. faux. Au total: + 9EUR.
Le soda est en 40 cl (?!) et avoisine les 4EUR, la bière à 3EUR est excessive pour la Belgique.
La carte menu présentée à table né correspond que partiellement à celle, accrocheuse, affichée sur la Place. Le menu, intéressant, n’y est par ex. pas mentionné ! Nous avons donc du commander autre chose.
Dont des spaghettis trop cuits.
Enfin, au moment de payer en carte bancaire, il fallait tout d’abord entrer un chiffre correspondant en fait au montant du service (= pourboire). Escroquerie !
Pour info, quand le serveur réussit à arnaquer un client, il chante un chasseur sachant chasser

Ein von außen sehr gemütlich wirkendes Restaurant am malerischen Marktplatz von Brügge gegenüber dem Belfried.
Innen ist es eher schmuddelig und die Speisekarte so aufgebaut Touristen auszunehmen. Das Menü kostet 16 EUR. Freundlich wird man gefragt ob man Brot dazu möchte und die traditionellen Muscheln mit Fritten. Klar möchte man, Belgien ist für seine Fritten weltberühmt und Moules et Frites eine Erfindung der Belgier. Diese beiden Extras, die man bei der Bestellung aber nicht als Extra wahrnimmt schlagen bei 2 Personen mit 16 EUR insgesamt zu Buche, für ein bisschen Brot und 2 Portionen Pommes echt üppig.
Die Muscheln waren allen Ernstes nicht zu essen. Entweder zerschlagen, nicht offen oder so sandig und zäh, dass einem sehr schnell der Appetit verging.
Schade, dass ein so nett gelegenes Restaurant nur auf einmal Gäste setzt und sicher nicht möchte, dass jemand wieder kommt.
Ein Blick auf die Nachbartische verriet uns, dass wir uns mit der Einschätzung hinsichtlich der Qualität der Speisen nicht alleine da standen. Sehr viele Teller gingen halb voll in die Küche zurück.
Ach ja, die typischen belgischen Pommes entpuppten sich als Supermarkt Tütenware.
Bezahlt haben wir für 2 Personen mit je 1 Getränk 61 EUR und noch nie für den Preis so schlecht gegessen
