The only place in Perth that had ukulele stands. I called, I came, I bought, and I left, all within 20 minutes. Very helpful, knowledgable, and friendly staff who really know what they’re talking about. While I was there, I noticed a HUGE variety of instruments and it was very busy. Anyone who needs anything music related would not be mistaking to go straight here for any enquiry.

Concept Music is a longstanding music store in Wembley with a reputation for being small, packed to the rafters and focused on quality gear and customer service. They have recently undergone a renovation, which doubles their floor space — but the cosy feeling of old still remains.
Concept has a wide range of instruments, from the stock standard Fender, Gibson and Boss to less-​seen quality brands such as Godin, Eventide, Gallien-​Krueger and Mark Bass. The prices are competitive and the staff are happy to negotiate. The staff treat their customers with respect and when testing instruments, they are happy to leave you alone in peace, and it never feels as though they are rushing you through your selection.
Aside from guitars and basses (and related equipment), Concept also sell drums, recording equipment, brass and woodwind instruments, and keyboards. Their range in those areas are good, but not extensive. Concept’s main focus is on guitar basses, and it is those areas in which they shine.
Concept is a highly-​recommended shop, as it is able to appeal to both the casual player looking to upgrade their equipment, and to serious musicians with a discerning ear. With some brands, Concept is the only music shop in Perth stocking them, which gives musicians greater choice in terms of searching for their sound. Combined with great staff who seemed genuinely interested in helping people with finding the perfect equipment, Concept is a great place for those looking to step into the world of music, and for those looking to soothe their latest bout of Gear Acquisition Syndrome.
