Went on a winter Friday evening at 5pm for a «meeting» & was enthralled with the vibe of the place. Didn’t eat so can’t comment but I loved the place and hope to go back for a meal. I think it was happy hour whilst there… What a great idea.

Finally got around to trying this place out after driving past it endless times. Great variety of pizzas on th emenu, also do some salads, pastas and desserts. The pizzas are great and its probably my pick for a local slab. The pumpkin and rocket salad we got as a side was actually outstanding somehow. BYO and great views in the outdoor seating. Only small inside but overall at great place.

Great pizza, lots of variety without having an unnecessary number of options and all the ones we’ve tried taste delicious. Kinda expensive though and the interior is tiny with tables crammed in so I would suggest takeaway. Ordered a salad once and it really wasn’t good, so never again, but definitely my goto pizza place when I just want something a little special.

Perfect Italian Pizza. The base is simply classic, great crust too! Sensational location, BYO and a bottlo next door. Lovely layout whether inside or out and great décor. Good size pizza, good value and good garlic bread! You gotta love a pizza that has real chilli on it and had a serious kick. Would make it my local if I lived here!

This place has really good Italian style pizza, and I would rate it higher if the service was not so terrible. The pizzas crust is in that perfect mixture of crispy and soft, the sauce is fresh and delicious and they have a large selection of different toppings. This place is good for a traditional pizza, nothing gourmet or over the top. However, the service is terrible and inconsistent. This can range from giving you a table in a empty restaurant and making you wait half an hour to order, to waiting for two hours for your takeaway pizza to the waiter hitting on your mom, you simply never know what you are going to get.

This pizza place was located right across the street from our beach apartments and we’d heard good things, so decided to give it a try. In a nutshell, this pirate ship was all booby traps and no booty. when we walked in, there was a large party of 8 or more seated right in front of us, and the owner/waiter just stared at us. no hello, no come on in. service was horrid and unfriendly. the captain of this ship is an Italian man of few words, who told us to move tables once we’d finally sat down, after going back and forth for a few minutes about whether or not they were open to the public or closed for a private party. english is this pirate’s second language. the pizza was OK, we had the captain sparrow, although my dough was a bit soggy. sausage was good. when the pizza was served by Captain Italiano, he rudely asked us to move our glasses to make way for the pizza. Italiano would be better off in the back room, tending to his ovens. at the end of our meal, he simply said«you like-a my pizza?» Truth be told, I’d rather be forced to walk the plank than eat at Il Pirata again. If you want to eat OK pizza while sitting in a closet with sandalwood incense, served by rude people who can’t understand you, you’ll love it.

The search for the perfect pizza is over! I really enjoy the simple Margherita pizza, and Il Parata have perfected it. There is some serious heavenly work at play when the crust is crisp and the centre is soft, with the odd bubble here and there. A fresh homemade tomato sauce graces the base, topped with just enough mozzarella, cracked pepper and a few basil leaves. Oh deliziosissima! They serve mostly pizza from their wood-fired oven, but also do a few pasta and gnocchi dishes too, which are all made in house. A nice little selection of tradition Italian desserts are available. I just can’t turn down a cannoli! The only downside is if you’re sat near the door people are going past you all night as they enter and leave, but this place is a tiny operation so you don’t mind so much. I’m hoping in summer they will open the accordion style doors and dining will spill out on to the pavement, it will be a great spot to watch the sun set over the ocean. Make sure you book ahead the place is really small and the owner was turning people away all night who had not booked.
