Went there last night for dinner. Located on the first floor, it had sweeping views of the ocean. Service was superb despite it being a fairly busy night. Kudos to our waitress. I had Fish of the Day. The presentation on the plate was great, the mash and sweet potato chips were delicious, the portion size was quite generous but the Snapper itself was most disappointing — not fresh, over cooked and rubbery. Shame!

I went to Fratelli for a friend’s birthday a little while back in the year. Suffice to say, I was not overly impressed which you could tell by my three star rating. The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely. Really laid back and calm right on the coast. You literally overlook the ocean as you are eating. The food was average, it wasn’t the best but it wasn’t the worst. We had a large table of about 30 people so I understand the time delays in the food, so that wasn’t my problem. My problem, and this can really make or break a restaurant, was the service. The waitresses obviously hadn’t slept the night before or was just a rude person in general. I may concessions, that’s fine, but I think it is absolutely, overtly rude to kick people out of a restaurant at 10.30pm. Sure, shut the kitchen and the bar but you do not make a table pay the almost $ 500 dollar bill and then leave them out in the cold. Really terrible service. If you need to close early, don’t stay open for dinner. Simple as that. It’s a terrible shame considering that if it weren’t for that service this would actually be a lovely beach side restaurant.
