Hi hopes… but… This is not done lightly or frivolously… we’ve given these guys three tries since they opened a few months ago… they are our closest pizza shop and since KISS closed down and they set up shop we have been trying to support a local business … but tonight was the last straw… Never again! So rewind to opening night … They run out of pizza dough… at 7:39 pm on a Friday… Good sign of popularity… But poor planning… we forgive them and give them another go…(here’s the first clue) 2nd Try… We order Take away… They get the order wrong and give us someone else’s order. so we take it back — they apologise… but … honestly how hard is it to get a pizza or two to the person that ordered it … … And PS they were covered in charcoal dust …(and because we are paying a premium for«gourmet pizzas» I guess we shouldn’t complain that they are 25% dearer than Trigg Pizza 5 mins down West Coast Drive) 3rd try … We decide that they are close and it’s easy to give them another try… ring from the train on the way home from the city at 7:30 on a Friday Night … told it will be 30 minutes…(guess they are busy)… after getting to the Warwick train Station, driving home, dropping off the beloved, calling into the Marmion Cellars to deliberate over the appropriate Beer choice for Pizza, sitting reading the paper at their lone table(WITHNOTANOTHERCUSTOMERINSIGHTFORTHELAST20MINS!!) …then after being asked if my name is «Harriet» and does my phone no. end in 4567 and answering no to both .they tell me…“OK it’s just going in now — should be 5 minutes… … 10 – 15 minutes later(about 10 past 8) the guy in charge(think Hulk Hogan with a haircut) asks how long I have been waiting and was I a walk in or phone order … I said«called up and ordered — they told me 30 mins» …Hulk goes out to kitchen & comes back and says«should be ready soon… looks like we are only 10 minutes over what we told you…» Fair enough … keep reading paper … This is where it gets interesting. I am reading the paper, sitting quietly, no one else is within coo-ee… no other patrons waiting. not even pedestrians. nada… Hulk asks if I have been before … I say«yeah. we keep giving you guys a chance. but…» Phone rings… he takes it outside… Guy comes out to give me the pizzas and take my CC.(NB $ 37:50 for 2 medium size Pizzas) and apologises for me having to wait… Just as I am about to go Hulk reappears and as I am walking out the door says«so is that it .are you coming back to give us another try ?» «Dunno we’ll wait and see…» I said … Hulk doesn’t think this is a good enough answer and decides to vent on me «what do you want I apologised 4 times ???» Sorry … I was just sitting ther I didnt pass a comment — you asked me ?” ” Mate I dont need your business or your bad attitude and negative energy … don’t bother coming back !“ WTF??? No way am I taking this shit lying down … «Clearly you are having a bad day and I BTW … I can’t «make you feel bad». you do that all on your own. you know what… you dont need my business … I dont need your Pizzas… have em back« Hulk grudgingly extracts cash from register and hands it to me… I walk out thinking this guy is suicidal… who treat’s paying(repeat) customers like that??? … and there endeth the relationship between Coxy and his local Pizzeria … PS I rang Trigg Pizza and ordered 2 x Gourmet Pizzas for $ 10 less than Casa Di Grumpy … and they only took 15 minutes AND the staff were ALLSMILES… guess where I am going… and NOT going … next time I want a carb/cheese /meat hit!!! PPS Pal you may have thought you just lost $ 37 … but I reckon you just shot a big hole in your foot
