I like the general idea of this place, nice and quirky and reminds me of Alice in Wonderland for some strange reason. I arrived a bit later than I planned, so most things were sold out, but the lovely barista made me some delicious caramel cake and chocolate cookie shake out of scratch. It tasted great, looked cute, and rather big in portion. It was unfortunately a tad too sweet for my taste, but enjoyed it nevertheless. Will definitely be back for more exploring though.

What an cute little place. We walked through the boutique tù to find an adorable little tea parlour /café. My friend had a tea but I couldn’t resist the cake shake! What an idea! Loved it! We had a French toast that was so fluffy and soft served with a coconut jam and Salt. I can’t wait to go back and try some more of their tasty looking bites! Love love love!

Coffee shops are really changing lately and I’m loving it. A couple of years ago, the most popular and most visited coffee shops were chain joints, such as Gloria Jeans, Jamaica Blue or Caffisimo. I think this was because you knew exactly what you were getting with a coffee chain and it was a pretty safe option. Now, people are venturing out and getting their coffee needs met from secret, hidden away boutique coffee places such as the lovely Tea for Tu. I’ve wasted my writing coherence so instead of garbling out disjointed sentences, here are the reasons I love this place: 1. Coffee is quick, super hot and the cups have cute little birds on them. 2. Fantastic selection of exotic and fragrant teas 3. You can buy a bag of their delicious Madeleines for like 5 dollars and eat them all at your desk without sharing them. They’re not individually wrapped so if you DIDN’T eat them all at once they would go bad, right? 4. While you’re waiting for your coffee you can peruse the attached clothing shop Tu, for designer goodies. 5. Service is always friendly and fast 6. The décor is really cute! 7. They have a really tasty and interesting range of cupcakes — my favourite is the bacon-maple. YUM. Can you tell I love this place?

I was strolling through Northbridge on a beautiful afternoon and popped into Tu for a look around. Wasn’t expecting to find the picturesque café in the back, but was pleasantly surprised. I had a soy dirty chai(chai tea with a shot of espresso) and an earl gray macaroon, which were both delicious. The best part about this space is how quaint and well-decorated it is. Loved my experience!

This tiny William St café is hidden away at the back of Tu and serves up a large range of coffee and teas, as well as cupcakes from Baked 180°, amongst other little cakes. The prices are cheap and the coffee is smooth. A large takeaway coffee will set you back a mere $ 4.30 and cakes are priced around $ 4. In addition to the drinks and cakes, $ 5 toasties are available. Overall this café wins bonus points for coziness and vibe. The outside seating area is also really chill, with cute sofas and eclectic tables and chairs. Tea for Tu is definitely a winner…

You know that feeling you get when you’re going through your grandma’s cabinets? Youve been doing it for years but its still very exciting? Thats what I used to get from another café in Vancouver; in their rustic and cluttered hallways. Tea for tu is the closest that ive come to that feeling again since being back in Perth. Its nice, delicious, friendly, and you would impress any hipster inclined date by bringing them here. Visit and then take the stairs up to Mechanics to secure your spot on facebook as «in a relationship with». Wont be disappointed.

Great lil place to hide away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a quick coffee or tea. Hidden in the alley between the Francis St carpark and William st is this tiny little coffee shop. They offer a good selection of teas and do a decent coffee too. We were greeted with a smile and shown what teas and pastries they had. As well as their special on tea/coffee & macaron. They offer a modest selection of pastries from my favorite French place Choux.

Wandering down the alley thinking we were taking a short cut to Tea for Tu, we were surprised to stumble upon the entrance in the actual alley. There we found casual and relaxing outdoor seating, each table with a little plant. Quaint and offbeat. We meandered down the stairs and found a selection of loose leaf teas to choose from. Skeptical about how my tea would actually turn out(I’ve had several disappointing experiences here) I ordered a mint tea. Iced or hot? the waitress asked. It was warm outside. Worried I was making a mistake, I went with my gut and ordered an iced mint tea. I’m glad I did! It was perfectly brewed, flavorful but not too bitter. Plus, they offered macarons from Choux. Great afternoon pick-me-up!

This petite tea parlour is super, super cute, with the slightly rickety chairs, vintage crockery and tiny nature of everything like Thumbalina. Serving up green tea latte’s, the Seventh Duchess teas plus a range of delectable treats from Choux Café in Swanborne by superstar pastry chef Emmanuel Mollois — commonly seen on ABC, Poh’s Kitchen. Mix that with the free wifi and hidden access via Lock Lane, this is an inner city oasis and a girly retreat perfect for gossiping or just soaking up the graffiti art. I doubt this will stay a secret for much longer, so get on it.

Tea for Tu has all the makings of a girlie coffee spot — vintage crockery, loose leaf teas, cutesy fit out, and an obscured courtyard thats perfect for gossiping. There is also a small showcase of French pastries to indulge your inner Marie Antoinette. If all this frou-frou doesn’t interest you, then maybe the free Wi-fi connection and coffee strong enough to give you the jitters, will.

Tea for who? This very small little tea house/café is hidden in the back of the«Tu» clothing shop off William Street in Northbridge. You basically order at the counter behind the store and then you can sit at the sparse tables and seats up the stairs next to the entrance to the Mechanics Institute. Being a bit of a warm day we opted for some iced tea. We opted for the«Hibiscus and Vanilla» and the«Wedding Tea» both of which were quite refreshing for the warmer weather. Service was pretty friendly and the chilled out music coming over from the nearby Mechanics Institute helps set a pretty laid back/chilled out vibe. Not a bad spot for a cup of tea and a chat I suppose. The only gripe there didn’t seem to be THAT much seating or space between tables. A nice spot in nice weather but I wouldn’t feel confident sitting down outside in the rainy months.

Walk through William St boutique Tú and you’ll find Tea for Tú, a quaint tea parlour and coffee shop with delicious pastries to boot. Here you’ll find that your tea and coffee options are plentiful. I went for an Earl Grey to go with my perfectly flaky croissant, which I slathered with(locally produced!) strawberry jam. The outside area by Lock lane is adorned with mismatched furnishings that go with the space’s quirky character. Fresh cut flowers in teacups and the small pots of organic sugar on the tables are a nice touch, too.

I have been dying to try this place out after discovering it on a visit to Mechanics’ Institute a while back. It’s located at the rear or Tu, the women’s clothing shop on William Street. It’s an extension of the shop and owned by the same owners. You can enter Tea For Tu via Tu(if you have strong enough will power not to buy some clothes on your journey through) or you can enter at the rear alleyway next to the Mechanics’ Institute entrance. The interior of the café is very, very, veeeeery cute. There’s a bit of a nautical theme going on, with ropes beautifully draped form the ceiling. They sell a wide range of teas, coffee and some baked goods. On display on the day I visited was a golden and glossy apple tart, vanilla and red velvet cupcakes and some macarons. I would love it if there were a couple of slighly more healthy options on the menu, like a savoury scone or a muesli slice.
