Every time I am in this area I can’t resist a sesame chicken ! It’s so yum! Definitely the best sushi in town! The staff is not really too friendly and they are usually pretty stressed. even if you’re the only person in the shop one will scream at you“NEXT” and the other one«ANYTHINGELSE?» ;) So I always make it a mission to order extra slow and give them a nice smile! Maybe one day they will smile back!;)

This is definitely my pick for sushi in Indooroopilly. If you see the Hanaichi name on a sushi shop you know it’ll be legit. The rolls are tasty, fresh and well priced and I’ve never hit the dreaded ‘hard rice, warm mushy avocado’ combo here. I tend to mix and match when I go as I never know what will draw my eye, but I’ve never been disappointed.

The bane of my existence when I was at uni. I worked here for 20 hours every week to the same tune of sushi roll orders over the counter. One thing is for sure, the sushi here is always fresh, tastes like it’s filled with drugs they are so addictive and are flavoured authentically. None of this cheap bottle sauce like you can taste at other places. Run by Hanaichi, authentically Japanese, you can’t go wrong here. All I can say is that the Sesame Chicken is highly underrated, it’s actually quite the best one here. The marinade soaks right through and it is a plain but nice flavour sensation. The Tuna Salad sushi roll, again, very addictive, I can stuff my face with four of the rolls easily but feel terribly full afterwards. There are tables that are cleaned regularly, floors that are mopped even more and staff that are very efficient. Crazy yummy this place. The Tempura Prawn or ‘Fried Prawn’ sushi as they call it is always crispy and not soggy! Amazing.
