An artisan butchers next to a gourmet lunch bar, LIKE. The meat is lovely and fresh and you can vouch for that yourself at the open kitchen. This place does great burgers and rolls with a matching price tag! It is pricey, but where else can you get a wagyu beef burger, between getting your groceries at the coles nearby and having your morning coffee. It stocks lots of «rarer» items(no pun intended), like jamon serrano and it’s own brand of wine, pickled onions, relish, gourmet bbq sauce etc. The butcher’s are very helpful and friendly. I remember distinctly picking up a great cut of pork shoulder at a fantastic price. There is usually a bit of a line up on the busier shopping days, but the convenience of the location more than makes up for the wait.

The Butcher’s Kitchen drew me in immediately, something about a restaurant that’s run by a Butcher(you can literally get cuts of meat from Cabassi right next-door) just sounds like the most logical option in an array of little restaurants. I was really surprised at the pricing, extremely reasonable — but even better was the quality and taste of the food. I had the brisket roll and it was absolutely killer. I want to go back and have it again, but I might need to switch it up and try the steak burger. I did go back and have a meat pie which was also really good. The other great thing is that it’s fast service. They put your roll or burger together to order, but it doesn’t take ages. It’s legit the best option at Indooro. Do yourself a favor and check it out. Kinda wish they had some sort of little side dish(s) you could order, but I’m definitely not complaining cuz the food was so good I wasn’t even thinking about sides at the time.

I was walking along and minding my own business when I happened across a smell. Beef I think it was and to the right I looked. These crazy butchers have set up a butcher bar where they make wagyu burgers ribs pork and other meats that leave you salivating so so sooo much. For my $ 12 I brought myself to finally order the wagyu brisket roll and yes. It was pretty tasty. It smells fantastic it tastes fantastic I think it would be very hard for me to leave here unsatisfied. Go you butchers what a unique and great idea.

This place is outstanding! The rolls are beyond hearty and taste superb! The people working are friendly, efficient and the topping to a great experience. You sit at a counter watching the chefs ad butchers carving. The food is all slow cooked and perfection!

I’m sitting in a «food court» willingly eating lunch. Who am I? But you see, Indooroopilly’s new twist on a food court, the fresh food precinct, has you feel like you’re in anything but a food court. It feels casually sophisticated and at The Butcher’s Kitchen I’m surrounded by subway tiles and an aesthetically pleasing typography on their signs that is definitely not of a food court. This is the kitchen side of the Cabassi & Co butcher where you can enjoy a quick and cheap meal of either a roast beef or pork roll($ 10), wagyu beef burger($ 15) or lasagne. Seated at the bar seating(there’s room for about 9 to sit at the bar) we waited for our rolls to be served while watching the chef work his magic on a few wagyu steaks. Served on a freshly baked panini with onion jam, horseradish cream, micro herbs, gravy and the most tender roast beef — it’s a delight from the first bite.
