I originally saw this place on google maps when researching(yes I like to be prepared) cool restaurants for our weekend in Adelaide. So glad I followed up! The lunchtime temptation deal is 2 dozen oysters, you can choose which 2 types and a bottle of wine also your choice for $ 68. Deal! We chose oysters Kilpatrick and oysters with caviar(the big red kind) and sour cream. Plus the house sparkling. The only thing I’d fault was the oysters Kilpatrick and that was just a matter of taste. House sparkling is delicious. Service was professional. There’s outdoor seating away from the cold wind. 2 entrances. I recommend it if you like oysters. Oh, and we did shots.

Yay oysters! Slightly tacky and gross, but loved it. Also, why in the world is this on the gross marina side when it could be on the lovely sunset beach side?!

The Oyster bar does delicious local Coffin Bay oysters for cheap($ 22 a doz natural). The beer is cheap too($ 8.5 a pint). Not what I was expecting for a packed little bar in the Holdfast Shores tourist drag. Check it out! (oysters are ½ price on Wednesday nights… sweeeeeet)

Yes Yes Yes. Wednesdays are where it’s at, alfresco dining, oysters, seafood platters, dips, wine… just a tip, they don’t take bookings after 6, so get in early because if you don’t have a booking then it can be a bit of a wait for a table. This place is way better than it’s sister bar on East Terrace, now that I’ve been to both it’s definitely worth driving a bit further to Glenelg. Service is fast, the live band they had playing actually had a lead man who could sing and their song choice was pretty well perfect. Better to sit outside than it, there are heaters that actually work too if it gets a bit chilly and it’s covered.
