GARLICBREATHFORDAYS! But it’s soooooo worth it. This has to be my fave yiros in Adelaide. Such juicy, generous, char grilled servings of lamb. Fresh and tasty across the board. Also pretty damn efficient service. Sadly the service isn’t often with a smile, but you no what. I DON’T CARE! GIVEMETHEMEATYPARCELOFDELICIOUSNESS. I will say that I’m always a little torn by the price. $ 13+ for a yiros is exxy… but they are generous serves and never disappoint so I forget my lost cashola pretty quick. Also, if you’re not ridiculously hungry, order a mini yiros off the kids menu. $ 8 and still filling and oh so tasty.

Pretty good little gyro/yiro shop. Pretty much exactly what you’d expect from a fast food Greek restaurant at the beach. I am a particular fan of the Lafi Yiro, which includes tabouli salad in it! It’s a really brilliant addition.

Below average customer service. The girl behind the counter was short with me and had the opposite of a smile on her face but the food came fast. The yiros was decent, bread was exceptionally crunchy and the meat was good. Chips were edible but a little too overcooked and nothing too special.

Was good food. Service was atrocious, the girl not only look unenthusiastic but also looked angry that I’d made her work by ordering food. Food got the two stars.

ok… F-ing Boo. I have no idea about what the last reviewers are on. have you not had a proper kebab/souvlaki ??? I ate here after pissing up at The Grand… which I give a 5⁄10BTW. These Guys tHiNk putting the sole of a shoe on a hot plate for 6 and just tossing ur usuaLs in, is a kebab? sorry guys, but i chomped ¾ way through trying to work out what went wrong… all I can work out is they DKWTF it’s suppose to look/taste like. The only big plus is these guys have the guts to be open when everybody else closes! in my books, they Get a 8⁄10 for effort, 2⁄10 for delivery. Very friendly service especially for serving idiots at 2AM. iVe had many a kebab. this one is FAiL. boo, never again for me.

The freshest and most delicious yiros in Adelaide. It’s busy and loud and the staff are having lots of fun — the perfect day at the beach!

Souvlaki bros is located right at the end of jetty road near glenelg beach. I Went on a really hot Sunday and the place was absolutely packed out. We ordered quickly but had to wait about 20mins to get our yiros. When we did get our yiros they were really delicious and pretty reasonably priced $ 12 for a regular. Would recommend going on a sunny day so you can takeaway as the music is similar to a dance club not the most relaxing for a beachside lunch.

Great place for a souvlaki fix. There are many different menu items ranging from souvlaki to hot chips. It’s opening hours are great, if you need a fix day or night they are there. The service is fast and friendly and all items are reasonably priced.

This place is the same as when it opened — which is not the same as many places down the glenelg. They’ve managed to keep a good portion size to the price, unlike other yiros places around. Try the ‘Colossus’ varient — includes hop chips within the yiros itself. absolute gold. The indoor seating isn’t the best, and can be a little hot/stuffy — but across the way from the outdoor fountain and communcal seating. Winner.

This is easily the best yiros/kebab/souvlaki in Adealide. All the meat is cooked over charcoal so it is some of the best tasting lamb and chicken I have ever had. Then they go and throw it in a yiros and make it even better. A great location on the square and a stone throw from the beach. One of the highlights of the new Glenelg and a must do for any tourist and local.

I dont know what I would do without tgis place after a night out… the yiros’s they make are sooooo good. Youve heard the vb adds — «somewhere between see you later, and honey I’m Home, theres always a kebab!» — Well tgis is the place you’kk be getting that kebab from if you’ve just left the grand! Do yourself a favour, and GOHERETODAY!

I used to love Zoe’s on King William Rd. That was until I tried Souvlaki Brothers. I have never tasted a more succulent and flavoursome yiros in my entire life of eating Greek food — I’ve eaten a lot of yiros. I have a lot of Greek friends. I eat a lot of yiros. My favourite is the yiros with haloumi — biggggggg fan of haloumi. Seriously. Fry some haloumi then cook it through some pasta and add basil pesto — one of my favourite dishes. And I probably just gave away my secret recipe. Yeah, I can’t cook — that’s the only recipe I know. It’s not even a real recipe, it’s like, 3 ingredients. Anywho — back to Souvlaki Bros — if you’re sick of AB on a big night, you’re around the bay, get on it! You won’t regret it.

As a Greek, I think I’m best qualified to review yiros shops. Well, not really but I ll give it a go anyway. Nevertheless, Souvlakis Bros is good! Even if it is not even a yiros that you’re actually after. In fact the open meat platter with salad is delicious, and the chips are ama-zing. I would also have to go one further and say these yiros’ are the closest to what I have devoured in Greece. Still not as good, but like I said, the closest ever devoured outside of the blue and white Mediterranean motherland. This gets me slightly excited. Souvlaki Bros makes char grilled lamb/chicken, and the fact that they give you the option to put their delicious hot chips in your yiros is fantastic. Just like in Greece! They also do mini yiros’ which are also the size of the ones in Greece… Amazing. Additionally the store is clean, new and has indoor and outdoor seating available. Not to mention it is a pleasant alternative to the«Maccas Run» after late nights partying at Glenelg. A little pricey though…

The Souvlaki Bros give me little shivers of memory pleasure. Their yiros are amazing. Especially the ones with HALOUMI. Yes, in a yiros. Genius, right? You have to eat that one fast before the haloumi goes cold, but that’s not exactly difficult. Their standard yiros are also delicious. Tonight we went for the $ 13.50 classic with lamb, garlic sauce and tabouleh. Oh man, the flavours. The meat was succulent and all good quality — no gristle to be found. The salad was fresh and crispy, and the tabouleh flavoursome. The highlight was the garlic sauce, which has a bite! You’ve got to be a garlic lover for this one. I could eat these all day. Their bread too is fantastic — slightly crispy from the cooking but thick and good quality. They do also do great chips here, but I can barely remember them, so good are the yiros.

So you’ve just spent a night dancing, drinking, and possibly(definitely!) getting drunk at the Grand and it’s almost time to go home. But not before you stop off at Souvlaki Bros first!(It’s only a small stubble across Moseley Square.) They have the best yiros’ going around and some pretty good chips to match. Perfect for that late night hunger craving! Or for a hangover fix the next day. They also sell burgers, skewers, salads, stuff for the kids, and premium or charcol yiros’, all inspired by traditional Greek recipies with a hint of Australia. During the day there is seating to sit back and relax(or if the weather is nice, why not find a spot on the grass or down on the beach?), but I’ve noticed they block off the inside seating area when they are open in the early hours of the morning(probably becasue they know most customers are going to be drunk, loud, etc). The prices are pretty decent($ 10 – 12.50 for a yiros — which are a good size). Please note, Souvlaki Bros doesn’t have a close time, they are open til late every day.
