I’m am a big fan of op shopping is this is one of my favourite places to hit on the weekends. Un like some op/​vintage shops in Fremantle the prices here are great (finding a bargain is one of the reasons to go right) and today they had 50% off all there clothing. Today I picked up 3 pieces (all label names & in perfect condition) for $ 10! It’s all about giving back to the community, recycling/​re using and saving money for more important things. This store has a massive range, big fitting rooms and staff are lovely. (special mention to a lady named Vicky who is super nice and bubbly)

Op shopping is a win win situation. You’re helping your wallet and also helping an organisation which supports the most disadvantaged in our community. There’s an extra win if you visit The Good Sammy in Freo as it is a huge store with lots of hidden treasures and they also do regular sales which are bordering on ridiculous. A set of bowls for 25c each? A suit jacket for $ 1? A Diane von Furstenberg dress for $ 10? Don’t mind if I do. Thanks to all the volunteers who staff this store with a smile and to Good Sammy for everything you do.

I’ve been into a few Good Sammys before and nothing has struck me as particularly «mentionable” — yet the Sammys’ in High St Arcade has blown my op shopping socks off– never before has this charity struck me as a dominating enterprise, yet in force, I could see how organized they are and how many different communities they cater to. With clear glass shop fronts exposing the entire interior of the shops.
Sammys’ covers 80% of the arcade with separate specialized shop fronts. «Sammy’s children, Sammy’s Toys, Sammys’ Women, Sammys library, Sammys’ Manchester» This was HUGE!
The visual bombardment was a bit overwhelming as I wasn’t expecting it, so I had a quick look at belts and then left– but I will return with more bags in future!
