Great coffee and friendly service, great range of cakes. Great specials too, I recommend the lasagne!

I ordered the coffee and banana cake, advertised at $ 7.50 — They charge 80 cents extra for soy and they just use So Good. If I’m paying 80 cents extra for soy, it’d wanna be something that at least costs them the difference like Bonsoy. Otherwise, it was a good coffee — the bean was Patio’s. Banana bread was yummy, with fig jam. Just got a bit snooty about paying 80 cents for frigging Sanitarium So Good soy…

Oreo Café is a very popular spot with the locals here, especially the retired ones. They do a great range of foccacias, as well as cooked lunches including fish and chips, schnitzel, burgers and the like, all only $ 10-$ 13. They serve breakfast from 8 until 12 week days, and until 2pm on Saturday. Their breakfast menu is standard, but the food is fresh and hearty. While their foccacias look good and have a tasty range of fillings, they end up being a little small. Mine came out, stacked elegantly one half leaning off the other, looking sadly small and lonely on the plate. I had the prosciutto and cream cheese option, and they’re generous on the pig! They use a very thick and tasty type of prosciutto, which went well with the cream cheese and baby spinach leaves. I finished feeling almost satisfied, which I didn’t mind, because it meant I could get myself cake later on. I was pleased to find that they do a great coffee — strong and smooth, not too hot, and a generous size. Definitely the best coffee to be had in this centre. Their«Happy Hour» is one for the oldies — from 2.30pm to 3.30pm they have coffee and cake for $ 6.50 and coffee and biscuit for $ 4.50. Any later and people won’t be sleeping that night. It’s a cute little café, and does good, simple food at good prices.
