Le Crème Café sits in front of the Findon Library, and has recently expanded to share the library’s foyer, so you can now enjoy your coffee and food while soaking up that library atmosphere. A joy for all us geeks. The food here is cheap, and simple yet very tasty. Their $ 8.50 yiros makes an enormous and satisfying lunch. They use a lot of fresh salad and plenty of garlic sauce, which keeps everything nice and moist, and the meat is deliciously cooked. They do great all day breakfast foods, and a very tasty croissant with ham, cheese and tomato. Their coffee and cake deal is cheap at $ 5, however their range of cakes is uninspiring. I wouldn’t call many of them cakes. Slices at best. Now to the coffee, which really clinches the deal. Their presentation is decidedly poor — coffee dregs dripping down one side and mild down the other, however the crux of the matter, the coffee, is quite good. It has a very strong flavour, vanilla is the closest word I can put to it. A sugar really takes the edge off it. What impresses me most is the cup size, which is easily twice as large as many small coffee cups. And it is only $ 3.30. I’ll be having coffee and lunch here again.
