I recently wrote a review here for a Greek café serving pana cotta cheesecake, well now I have found panna cotta ice cream, this time coutesy of South America. Patagonia South American Ice Cream in Coogie, serves an extraordinary number of ice cream flavours and after much debate with my tastebuds, I decided on a thick shake with a mix of pana cotta, Snickers and Mars ice creams, the result was a delicious blend of creamy sludge. I think think shakes which could burst a rib from suction and this shake was thick, there must have been more than four scoops overall. The ice cream of South America has a different texture to what Australia considers traditional ice cream, it sits somewhere between ice cream & gelato, I assume that water replaces some of the milk quantity in the recipe. I personally prefer creamy milky icecream to the gelato style, but none the less this was very good.
