Used to be the biggest fans of this place until we found a fly on our meal. Never again!

Very generous servings and nice flavours, however it was just a bit too salty so if they pared back on the sauces it would have been pretty good! Ingredients used were pretty fresh too!

I’ll be the first to admit, my noodle standards are fairly low. As someone who can’t eat gluten my requirements for noodles are that they don’t contain gluten and aren’t overcooked. Beyond that, I’m just excited to have noodles. That said, this particular Wok On Inn in Balmain is super tasty and I’d definitely go back. Tips for other glutards: look for rice noodles and avoid anything with soy. If in doubt, ask.

Definitely a unique and spectacular noodle eatery in Balmain that blows that chain restaurant feeling out of the water. Wok on Inn has created a name of its own here, and within good reason too. Their prawn noodles; wow they are just spectacular. The only complaint I would have(although a good one) is that this establishment gets super busy at dinner time(and sometimes during lunch) and during the week in particular. The novelty does wear off sooner or later; you just have to want that asian fusion so badly to appreciate the product and the greatish service here. If you get sick of this establishment; then that is a telltale sign that you are coming here way too often. In that case, give yourself permission to get out of your shell and explore what Balmain has to offer. The red walls can be a bit full on, yet the pace is fast(the staff don’t always seem to be stressed) and fairly high energy. Bring it on, love it. Quality fast food if you can’t be bothered cooking to say the least. Even though this establishment is not licensed; who cares: just take away and enjoy with a bottle of red at home on the couch. Sweet.
